VIDEO: Jay-Z Answers The Call At Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden will never be the same……..
After letting the moment set it, I finally realized that Jay’s “Answer The Call” concert at Madison Square Garden might have been one of his greatest live shows to date. What makes this showcasing of his latest compositions so special, the proceeds from “Answer The Call” are headed directly to the pockets of the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
The city was muggy and misty, but the vibrant souls of the Tri-State are lit up the wet streets Manhattan as they eagerly packed into The World’s Most Famous Arena. Now I’ve been to my share of Jay-Z concerts at The Garden (I did however miss “The Fade To Black” show), but tonight seemed different. Tonight seemed special.
Eight years prior, NYC was forever changed by the cowardly acts of a pack of individuals. It changed how NYC moved as a collective unit. And anyone who EVER came to visit the worlds greatest city after that tragedy understood what it meant to be a FAMILY. Clearly, when Jay took that stage, he knew exactly what his duty was on September 11, 2oo9- GREATNESS FOR NYC.
The countdown was over and the show commenced. “Empire State of Mind” (backed by AN INCREDIBLE VISUAL SHOWCASE…DAMN!), which probably has to the ULTIMATE NYC anthem as of right now RUNG through the massive speakers of Madison Square Garden and set off each attendee in a GOD DAMN tizzy.
Our seats had a perfect viewing of the stage, the crowd and the VIP section which was directly to the left of us. Fabolous kept on his cool. Angie Martinez stood proudly on her chair, Kevin Liles stood all the way in the back of the VIP booth, dolo soaking in every moment of the artist he helped create years back and Miss Info finally stopped fiddling with her phone and realized greatness was unfolding before her very eyes. Justin Timberlake kept a low profile while watching the show, but couldn’t even help to let loose when “99 Problems” presented itself. Beyonce, Rihanna, Swizz Beatz, Diddy and others shuffled around, but for the majority of the night, feets were planted and eyes were focused.
I tried to keep off Twitter because I actually wanted to enjoy the show as a fan, but when that first tune rang out, it was only right I attempt to inject each emotion to my faithful Twitter followers. John Mayer, Kanye West, Kid Cudi (Yeah I was shocked too), Swizz Beatz, Rihanna (sheeesh she looked scrumptious), Pharrell and Diddy helped assist in Jay’s shmancy showcase. But no matter who Jay brought to the stage, one thing was certain- NYC was a family again.
And since my NMC comrade, Dre from NahRight is swift with the TV rips, below is the entire show for your viewing pleasure. Yes I know FUSE TV broadcasted the concert live last night, but I’m sure some of you might of missed it….so here ya go!

that wuz one of his best concerts EVER!!! (FADE TO BLACK wuz the best one), but jay didn’t perform with bey. everybody jay brought out performed one of their own songs(except a few people). but bey just performed DIVA(which wasn’t her best performance w/ jay) normally she would perform a song her jay did but she didn’t. did u notice how she walked off 2(she looked like she wuz not happy). but it wuz still one of the best jay-z concerts EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
