The hunt continues!Well, the journey hasn’t concluded yet because if it did, you would be listening to Kanye’s “Love Lockdown”.…RIGHT NOW! If you’re wondering why there’s a picture of half my face and a street sign of Rodeo Drive glaring back at you, well, I took a different approach this time. Kanye’s probably one of the fresh to death ninja’z in this game right? So where does a majority of his fresh to death apparel derive from (that’s if he didn’t get it oversea’s)?? Yup, that’s right…Beverly Hills!

So, after this rooftop party at the Thompson on Wilshire Blvd (more on that later), I took to the fancy streets of Rodeo Drive and got the stalking searching for you know what, “Love Lockdown”. Now, since the VMA’s were about 48 hours away, something told me, Kanye is probably in one of these shops handpicking his threads for the red carpet and there’s a good chance I’ll run into him. Boy was I wrong. I strapped on the backpack, loaded up the apparatus and began rifling through the many tourist that just HAPPEN to be out when I was on a mission; let’s just say Rodeo Drive was packed like a Sardine can.

One hour trickles by and still no “Love Lockdown”. Was I in the wrong place? Did my instincts lead me to the wrong coordinates?? Who knows, but I damn sure wasn’t about to give up hope; this mission is NOT COMPLETE YET!  I went back to the Thompson to see if MAYBE Kanye hit up the MTV Gift Suite, but of course…..NOTHING. I ran into Teairra Marie, but she had no clue as to what I was talking about, so I politely asked her for an interview later next week and she happily agreed (shorty doo wop isn’t too fond of Young Hov and Rihanna, lol…more on that later).

After several hours, my mission was coming to an end. However, I haven’t given up hope just yet, because I still have a lil over 24 hours to find the song. If you happen to tune into the VMA’s today and you see me run across the stage during Kanye’s set right before he goes on, you’ll know exactly why. And, if you see that Kanye’s set is somewhat delayed, you’ll know exactly why as well.  It’s coming down to the wire folks, and LowKey works GREAT under pressure. It’s 2:15 (Pacific Time), do you know where “Love Lockdown” is???
