As most of you know by now, Prodigy was granted a one month “adjournment” before beginning his 3 1/2 year sentence for gun possession in Riker’s Island. He is now due to turn himself in on February 13th.

Interestingly the Queens rapper reported to jail one day early, only to be turned back. Word is P, who suffers from sickle cell anemia, is being allowed an extra month for his doctors to gather his medical records. 

I had the pleasure of interviewing P just last week and he was in good spirits, focused and ready to start his bid. He sure wasted no time making use of his extra free time though. The man is already in the studio.
