Sup folks. Busy week? Sure it is! This past Sunday Best season proved that not only were a bunch of you gospel fans, but artists in your own right.  Knowing that, I do my best to not only bring you info on music and artists, but the gospel industry as a whole.

So with that said, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bishop Albert Jamison, the Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop Of America (GMWA). I put extra emphasis on the “pleasure” part and I’ll explain why.  I’ve been involved in some form of gospel music and “church” my entire life and you know how “we” can be. Let’s be HONEST  Typically,  someone in Bishop Jamison’s position would be deep, stank, grand and/or some annoying combination thereof.   Bishop Jamison was everything but that.  As a matter of fact, when he got here and introduced himself to the staff, he didn’t even use the terms “Pastor” or “Bishop.” I said it more than he did and when you watch the interview, you’ll see that I in fact was the one who was the most “churchy.” (Ha!) So anyway, GMWA is a huge gathering of gospel artists, executives and industry professionals that takes for a week each year and I’m going for the first time and I think you should too! Bishop Jamison and I talked in depth about the conference and why you should go.  There’s still time and room for you to sign up!

Yay! I am so excited!! This will be my first time attending GMWA, I have heard so many wonderful things about the workshop! I am literally counting down the days, hours, minutes, etc! If you see a thick young lady shouting, singing, back up running around taking pics of everything and everyone…that’s me! :) Also, I will be singing with the Texas Mass Youth and Young Adult Choir, it’s our first time singing at the convention, so please keep us in your prayers! I can’t wait to see everyone and everything!! Stay prayed up and be blessed!! :)
