Torrence’s Talk with CoCo Brother
Published by Torrence Glenn on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 11:50 am.
Hey folks. BET’s 10th Annual Celebration Of Gospel airs this Sunday, June 10 @ 8 p.m. I think I’ve pretty much seen all of them, and I believe this very well may be one of the best. While I was there, I caught up with CoCo Brother, radio personality and host of BET’s “Lift Every Voice.” We talked about how he got into the gospel industry, choosing controversial guests for his show even the recent instances of “moral indiscretions.”
Watch!
Make sure you watch Celebration Of Gospel this Sunday, I’ll be live blogging and tweeting through the show, so make sure if you’re on twitter, you follow @BETGospel and @TorrenceG. You know I’ll have a lot to say… (C’mon!)

the new show is ok, but i miss the old format with Gerard Henry. I respect Gerard for staying true and not going along with the new format for the show. It was way better when he was hosting.

I agree with Chris…
WHEN ARE BLACK CHURCHES GOING TO LEARN TO WORK AS A COLLECTIVE AND POOL SOME OF THAT TITHE MONEY?
It would be nice for Sunday Best to hold auditions in the East somewhere. I feel like its always the south Atlanta or Midwest Detroit. Don’t forget about us in Beantown (Boston, MA) we have some great voices here!! Be blessed!!
Atlanta is incredibly influential in the music that hits the mainstream, but there is talent all over the place that goes unnoticed. Philadelphia has some great artists and producers, but there isn’t enough commraderie among artist to create a buz like the ATL does. Anyone on the music side should check out http://www.philadef-entertainment.com I heard the production team over there makes some hot Hip Hop\R&B tracks. Stop by and ask to hear the catalog. God Bless!!!!!
