Today’s a huge release day for music lovers! PJ Morton and Karen Clark-Sheard release CD’s today, but didn’t want you guys to miss this release. Smokie Norful’s church choir, Victory Cathedral Choir released their debut CD today.
Typically, I’m not a fan of church choirs recording. Many times, because of the choir’s commitment to church work, they don’t develop a “personality” that I think is required for a successful recording choir. Or on the other hand, if they are good, they’re usually a community choir that was brought in to fill in the church choir to make ‘em sound like something. So many times, church choirs get the “side eye” from me. I’m still listening to this release, so I’m going to reserve my “yay or nay” so to speak. But from what I’ve heard, this choir is doing their GOOD OLE CHICAGO STYLE singing. So far I’m digging it. Take a listen and tell me what you think? And if you like it, you know what to do. BUY IT! Please and thank ya!

I love what I’ve heard so far of it. But then it’s Smokie Norful’s choir. You can’t expect any less than excellence!
I love that song “I Made It”…that song would rock a Sunday morning church service. Also Keisha McFarland sings great on Your Latter.
I love the CD, Keisha McFarland is can sing with anybody.
