BET Awards 10: Best Gospel Artist

So the nominations are in for Best Gospel Artist for BET Awards 10 and they are:
The Anointed Pace Sisters – Wow, I’m so excited about this! I said at the end of last year that I thought their latest CD, “Access Granted” was severely slept on and was one of the best CD’s of 2009. Well, I’m glad somebody got it right and they’re in the running for a BET Award!
Kirk Franklin Presents Artists United For Haiti – Of all the Haiti benefit songs that were released this year, this was definitely one of the better ones if not the best. (We can pretend it’s about the cause and not the song if we want to, but whatever, it needs to sound good too and many didn’t. (And Kirk’s was recorded over the course of a weekend, I was there for some it so I know.) So I’m glad that Kirk and the host of artists (churchy) on this project are nominated. So umm, this mean that technically almost the whole industry is nominated because everybody and their auntie was on that song! Ha!
Tamela Mann – I’m also glad to see Tamela getting the recognition that quite frankly, she’s deserved for some time. She’s been putting it down vocally since being in Kirk Franklin’s “The Family” (and probably before that) and consumers seem to be eating up her latest CD, “The Master Plan.”
Marvin Sapp – No surprise here, but unlike a lot of other award categories where there’s always an obvious nominee that folks may argue about whether they deserve it, this isn’t the case with Marvin. Yeah, you totally knew he’d be in the category but not because he was simply the easy commercial pick, the product is just as big and good as his celebrity!
Vickie Winans – she just gets nominated for everything…
So who do you think’s going to win? The Official BET Awards 10 Voting Academy still has to vote on the final winners, but I’d be interested in knowing your pick. For obvious reasons I can’t give you mine.

I would like to see the Pace Sisters or Tamela get the award bc they have bn working hard 4 a while. Not only that but they are a blessing. No dis I still love the other nominees bc they are fantastic as well.
I simpley love anything having to do with the Pace family, this album without a doubt was the best of the year ,and they never release their better songs but they r legendary they deserve this award every recording they have done is timeless!

Ok!!!! How can they overlook BeBe And CeCe? After a 15 year hiatus and get MAJOR airplay. Loving Tamela Mann and the Pace Sisters. Vickie Wians havent heard her project yet. Good Luck to them all.
The last episode on may 15th I think you guys made a big mistake by letting Orlando go he was one of the best. His voice is amazing I think someone else should have went NOT Orlando hopefully you guys realize that and bring him back…
I really think that TAPS (the anointed pace sisters) are by far one of the premier female groups in gospel music. Their last cd was a beast and anointed! They should mos def win!!! I wish Youthful Praise and Ted Winn were chosen as well! But this award needs to go to TAPS!!!
Well what about Fred Hammond, Bebe and Cece Winans, Marvin Winans, Mary Mary? I don’t know im mad there aren’t a few more Gospel categories, but, hey it’s BET. sorry to get on ya employer….
I love ALL of them but I would really like to see The Pace Sisters get this one! I think that its long over due for them!!! THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!
