Sup folks. This past week episode of Sunday Best 3 was epic!  Brian Courtney Wilson helped to make it that way with his performance of “All I Need.” Like I said in my recap, Brian is a simple singer with a whole lot of power. He doesn’t do a lot of the extra we’ve come to expect or sometimes “require” (self included.)  Well, I asked Brian to stop by and talk to us for a few about his experience Sunday night. And after you read his guest blog, check out the album version of the “All I Need” from his latest CD “Just Love.”

“First of all, I want to thank Torrence and the BET family for allowing me this opportunity to share thoughts on my Sunday Best experience with his readers. I remember Israel leading the audience in his rendition of the song ‘Moving Forward’ to open the show. What you didn’t see in the broadcast is how powerful the impact of that presentation was. The entire taping just shutdown. It was as if the Holy Spirit caused us all to recognize in one singular moment that God really does ‘make all things new’ to quote the song. Tears were flowing everywhere and I remember the band and everyone continuing with the refrain ‘You make all things new, yes you make all things new, and I will follow you…Forward’. Every subsequent presentation seemed to be delivered with the same awareness. It was significant for me because the only reason I was there to sing was because God has given me the courage to move forward despite my flaws and all the voices that would have me doubt that I can. I am sure that everyone who participated in this particular episode can remember a time when they had to ignore or silence those voices and move forward. I was grateful to be able to join them in the light, if but for a moment, knowing that I was there because God has His hand on me…leading me forward….and that is all I need.”

Thanks Brian. Appreciate you. We go way back. (I feel like I’ve told the story, but I’ll tell it again soon. But long story short, I almost missed out on how great a singer Brian was because of something stupid!!!)

Now take a listen to today’s TGIP,  “All I Need”

I too felt the spirit from the time that Israel started his song to the end of the show. This season of Sunday Best has lifted my spirit and moved something in me with every episode and I feel blessed to be a part of it. I have cried, clapped, screamed and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has “soothed” my soul.

I almost missed out on BCW too. Thank God, He opened up my stuffed ears. Can we get an unedited dvd of this season that includes all of those worshipping moments. I feel a *WHOOSH* wind coming my way after hearing Israel and others singing. BCW was too short. I need a 15 minute medley of All I Need and Already Here.

omg, Matthew5and9, had that man done “already here” i’d still be laid out somewhere probably dehydrated because i’d be all cried out! Ha! I’m actually speaking with the producers to try and do a web special where we air the extended performances completes with the full praise and worship segments afterwards. I’m working on it :-)

I was really into that song when he performed it. I felt cheated b/c the set was so short. I loved his humbleness…I slept on him…I gotta grab some of his music! God bless you Mr. Wilson!

The first time I heard this song was when my grandson’s mother was killed in an auto accident, I can truly say that it brought peace and comfort, even to a four year old. I love it and I thank God for sending a message thru you to the world! May he continue to take you higher!

Brian Cortney Wilson this is a great song. It reaches the depths of my soul. I don’t know who wrote it but you executed it beautifully and express my sentiments perfectly. All I need is a touch from you. And since the episode on Sunday’s best, I’ve been feeling oh but ever so gentle nudges, and I know it coming.
