Quickie: “The Lexi Show” Calls It Quits
Published by Torrence Glenn on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 6:48 pm.

This one will be short, which is why I called it a “quickie.”
But I just found out that The Word Network has canceled Lexi’s talk show “The Lexi Show.” Now I’m not going to front. I haven’t really sat down and watched The Word Network all that much in the last year or so, but the times I did watch it, her show was usually the reason why.
Not sure what the reasons for canceling the show were. As with other shows we all were learning to love (catch my drift) I think scheduling may have played a part in less than desired ratings for the show, IF that was the reason in the first place. (Like I said, most of the times I caught myself watching the network were to catch her show). Well you never know in “tv land” but I hope she bounces back (and sure she will) with something greater. I didn’t know her oh so well, but the times we’ve been around each other were always nice and FUN. She’s a hoot. As of recently, she’s probably most well known for the somewhat controversial interviews she did with Tonex (the one where he came “out) and Debra Winans (the one where she accused Bebe Winans of beating her) in the past year, but I hope the saints haven’t forgotten that she can sing her face off. Maybe she’ll focus on the music again? Not sure, but I’ll be watching. Here’s a little of what Lexi had to say as sent by her publicity folks. (I’m not one of those who pretends to have gotten some exclusive interview when I didn’t. Ha!)
***passes mic to Lexi, well kinda***
“I’m overwhelmed with the unbelievable number of letters, phone calls and e-mails I’ve received in support of my show,” the former Stellar Award nominee says.
“I’m thankful and grateful to all of the fans of the show and will have a new home for the show soon.”
***takes mic***
Well, wherever the Lexi show lands let’s definitely support it there.

Well, I’ve never seen her show on TV.. I saw it for the first time on youtube.. I really liked the episode with Bishop Carlton Pearson.. There should be a show like that.. where there’s a panel of ministers/pastors/bishops, etc.. that discuss controversial issues.. I think that’s something everyone would watch.. (I shoulda auditioned for oprah loll) .. anyway, sad that it’s ending.. her show really was interesting.. she wasn’t afraid to ask some hard questions..
her show with Tony Smith was interesting as well.. u cn find them on youtube
Her show with Tony Smith was interesting as well..

Last interview i saw was Bishop Weeks and Christina Glean she kiss but through the interview not a good interview will not …miss her
People don’t like to hear the truth, the uncut truth, they like it sugar coated. I hope her show finds a home b/c I want to watch it. I luv Lexi!!!
Why did word network cancel the Lexi show? That was the only thing good about their channel. Now no one is gonna watch that mess. Lexi please continue to do your show… I loved it

I was wondering what happened to the show because i use to make sure i was home by 4 on saturdays. She was cutting egde, and relevant, and hope to see her show soon somewhere. I think some of the interviews with Tonex, Carlton Pearson, and that gay lady pastor was to much for the word network. What these shows brought to light was that how much the body of Christ need to pray for our brothers and sisters who have gone down the wrong way.
Even if I didn’t agree with her show’s topics or guest, it was the best television on the network. We must be fearless and accountable in media. The Tonex and Carlton Pearson shows were crazy but the show on the bishop in atlanta who fathered his brother’s child was too crazy. Egotism in the church is universal from the pulpit to the door. Check the record every fallen ministry happens becauses egos (pride and arrogance) got in the way.
we and yall only like the show not because it was good b/c it wasn’t. You only liked it for the undercover gossip and dirt she was shedding light on. Did bee bee really beat his wife? Was weeks gonna say something nasty about juanita? tony might be crazy. or you just knew bloomer was gonna go off on carlton pearson and the tonex thing… I mean if it was a regular talk show it would be another praise the lord on tbn and yall would not watch
