Just a few more days and Sunday Best 2 Winner Y’Anna Crawley’s debut CD will finally be released. Hopefully you’ve been enjoying the previews to the CD I’ve been giving you leading up to it.

Today I’m really excited about this track because it’s another one of my favorite if not THE favorite. The song is called “You’re Still God.” It’s another soulful track with just enough church. My favorite parts of the song are how Y’Anna starts out real smooth and sultry but by the end of the song, she’s squalling  and walking the proverbial floor until times get better. Then there’s the BACKGROUNDS!!!!!   If you listen closely you can hear Season 2 Runner-Up Jessica Reedy singing along with Y’Anna and Big Jim Wright and they are SLAYING those backgrounds.  They remind you of records from back in the day when singers only had one take to do a song and had to all sing into one mic. Just pure sang-tang-a-langing! But the way they deliver them is so deliberate with this very “intentional” pronunciation that I just love. I’m gonna have to stop typing now because i feel the diahdipoayui[q8i ajkayeipahdfkn;ajia; adia;hik4q;ha;kdka;jkd;a  ea8oudai;jkaljk;ajak;a.... TOO LATE, there it goes. I hope this carpet is clean because this is about to be a mandown situation!
