TGIP (Audio): Deitrick Haddon – “I Need Your Help”Published by Torrence Glenn on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 6:55 pm.
Sup folks, this will be quick because I need to rush out of the office, run some errands and get home in time for what “affectionately” (side-eye) call “TBN Black Night.” I found out today that the episode featuring Vashawn Mitchell would be airing TONIGHT and not in a few weeks as planned. I was there and it’s a really good episode. Donnie McClurkin hosts and Steve Harvey and Andrea McClurkin-Mellini are on the show too. Tears just flying everywhere, I even think from yours truly! (What can I say, that “Nobody Greater” gets me EVERYTIME!!!!)
So yeah, back to what we’re here for. Today’s song that “got me together” was off of Deitrick Haddon’s last solo project “Revealed” and is probably one of my favorite songs from the CD. It wasn’t a single and because I don’t think enough of you got it to realize there were some gems on there, so I thought I’d share. “I Need Your Help” is a somewhat simple song but is so very beautiful in it’s message and vocality. Simply put Deitrick SANGS this thing and he reminds you that at the end of it all if you take away the hip-hop beats, the dance moves, the outfits, etc. the man can just sing. Listen to “I Need Your Help” and tell me what you think!
