So I’ve just accepted the fact that until this case is over, I should just prepare myself to have to do at least one post on Bishop Eddie Long per day because developments on this case are that ongoing. So here’s what we found out TODAY. (Yes, it’s getting messier.)

Spencer LeGrande, the 4th young man to file a lawsuit against Bishop Long, spoke out in a video interview today. (WATCH HERE.) In the interview he explains why he decided to file his lawsuit when he did. He apparently hadn’t heard about the others 3 young men filing suit until he saw a report on the news and figured that it was time for him to tell his story too. Although LeGrande’s interview wasn’t nearly as emotional as Jamal Parris’ from yesterday, he did seem just as resolved and firm in his story. I found it interesting that he said that he harbors no hate for Bishop Long. His words: “This is a hard time for the world and you know I have no hate for anyone because God doesn’t produce hate. I pray for everyone, especially Bishop, ’cause he knows the truth, he knows the truth.”

But that’s not it! We also learned today that court documents from Bishop Eddie Long’s divorce in 1985 from his first wife Dabara have surfaced and in them she claimed that Bishop Long physically abused her. I didn’t even realize that he had been married once before until now.  According to Fulton County Court documents, Dabara Houston alleged she was the victim of “cruel treatment” and was afraid of Long’s “violent and vicious temper.” She also claimed she and her son “had to flee in order to ensure their safety.” Read more here.

Oh yeah, by the way, if you notice at the end of the video, Bishop Long resurrected his beloved muscle shirts again as he spoke to his congregation for a second time last night during their mid week service.
