Update: Bishop Eddie Long LawsuitPublished by Torrence Glenn on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 1:31 pm.
And the plot thickens. Yesterday, we reported about the lawsuit waged against Bishop Eddie Long by two former members who allege that Bishop Long used his position as Bishop and Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to coerce them into sex. Read more about that here.
However, it seems that this story doesn’t stop there and the details are getting more and more “interesting.” We’ve learned today that one of the plaintiffs, Maurice Robinson, was arrested and charged with breaking into Bishop Long’s office and stealing $100,000 worth of items including black diamonds and an iPad.
B.J. Bernstein, lawyer for the plaintiffs, claims that Robinson’s burglary was an attempt at retaliation to Bishop Long.
You may also remember B.J. Bernstein from the Usher and Tameka Foster-Raymond divorce last year. She represented Tameka in the divorce. *blank stare*
Like I said yesterday, this story will continue to grow and it is quite messy. We’ll keep watching this story, but it’s already making my head hurt! Still praying that this all works out…whatever that is….
