EXCLUSIVE: “Thank You Lord” – Amber BullockPublished by Torrence Glenn on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 1:18 am.
Hey guys, I’m really excited that my first post back on the scene is this one. On Sunday, September 11, 2011 2 million of you watched Amber Bullock take home the prize on Sunday Best 4. As I’ve recounted a few times, I can remember her audition in Dallas CLEARLY. As you know, contestants have to go through a few different rounds before they even have a chance of getting to the main judges. As Amber made her rounds that day, she finally made it to a room that I was a preliminary judge in. Although I hadn’t heard her sing all day like some people did, I had heard ABOUT her. All of my friends who were judging throughout the day kept telling me about this woman with the red feather earrings. So when she walked into the room and I saw these beautiful red feather earrings I thought it was her. I would KNOW it was her when she opened her mouth. From that point on she became a favorite of all the preliminary judges, the staff and eventually the public who voted her the winner of Sunday Best 4
As the prize goes, not only did she win a Ford Explorer but more importantly, a recording contract. As a newly signed Music World Gospel artist, Amber Bullock is already set to release her first EP on December 6 and will have a full length debut CD early next year. She’s also featured on a duet of “Silent Night” from Season 3 winner Le’Andria Johnson’s holiday EP “Christmas Best” which is available at Best Buy on November 21 and everywhere else on December 6.
Well, I pulled some strings and got to hear a little bit of Amber’s EP and I gotta say, she is SINGING, hear me? So I decided to pull a few more strings and let YOU guys hear a little bit too. SOOOOO, check out Amber’s remixed and re-recorded studio cover Walter Hawkin’s “Thank You!”(One of my favorite songs!!!) Don’t say I never did you any favors now! Listen and tell me what you think!
