Sup folks. Episode 10 of Sunday Best 3 was a tough one. It was emotional, anointed, dynamic and a little sad. We had to say goodbye to a crowd favorite Durward Davis. Like we’ve said a million times, anybody going home last night was going to be hard. But something about Durward not advancing stung a little bit for me. I was really one of his biggest fans. But I won’t go into again. Everything happens as its meant to, so I digress. But Durward Davis is going to give his own perspective on his time on the show and his exit so ladies and gentlemen, here he is!

Sup folks. Sunday, our “wildcard” Martha Buries time on Sunday Best 3 also came to an end. Martha accomplished the extremely difficult task of having to “redeem” herself after she technically was already sent home. The judges picked a top 10 and she wasn’t in it, but there was something in her that made the judges bring her back. And after she came back, she stayed! Everybody couldn’t have done that. I think most of the contestants in the final 20 contest are great, but Martha was one of my favorites and I always looked forward to her from week to week because she always brought a little something new that I didn’t think she was capable of. I don’t think this will be the last of Martha either, but until she comes back out to hopefully bring us some new music, here’s Martha’s guest blog. Read the rest of this entry »

Sup folks. On Sunday, we said goodbye to Tiffany Carlin-Laird from Sunday Best 3. It’s been bittersweet the last few weeks because like we keep having to remind ourselves, great singers will be going home. Tiffany is obviously one of those people it hurt to see leave but I predict and believe that she just left the show, but not the gospel music industry. We’ll be seeing and hearing her again, but until then here’s Tiffany in her own words. Read the rest of this entry »

Sup folks!
Last night’s episode of Sunday Best was so epic! The contestants were already singing their faces off from the beginning but they all took it even further, it was bananas! Which is why I keep having to remind myself, that whoever goes home is going to be good so we have to work on taking the elimination news better. It hurts to see a good singer go, but there are no bad ones so what are we gonna do? Ha!
I also read all of your comments and know that Dathan Thigpen was a major favorite of many of you and I know quite a few of you took it hard. So I’m glad I’m able to let Dathan speak to you, his new fans/stans, himself! Read the rest of this entry »

Yeah, it’s me again… But what am I supposed to do, we lost a 4 people last night on Sunday Best 3, but i didn’t want to let them leave without being able to say “Hello, Goodbye, something…” So just like I did with Tawanna Tarvin and Franklin Davis, I”m back again, this time with our Hebrew brother David Wilford. This season was full of singers who brought something to the competition and gospel overall. From Franklin with his mohawk, spikes and mesh gloves, Elder Goldwire McClendon killin’ em at 79 years young to our brother David with his yarmulke and cardigans. Diversity is the underlying theme of this season and I love it! So now, lets hear from David Wilford in his own words.

Sup folks. As I’ve said a few times already, last night’s episode of Sunday Best 3 was intense having to lose 4 singers! One of the most interesting and dare I say from your comments, most controversial with Franklin Davis, IV! I was honestly a little sad to see him go, but like I always say when we get to this point, anybody who goes home is going to be GOOD, so we have to suck it up. But, like Tawanna, I wanted to give Franklin a proper send off and allow him to speak you in his own words. I think you’ll appreciate what he has to say whether you loved him, his hair…. or not…

Sup folks!
Well last week the first half of the Sunday Best 3 Final 20 performed and now we finish up with the last 10. I guess a lesson was learned from previous seasons that it’s hard to narrow down finalists until you’ve heard them ALL! Read the rest of this entry »
