Sup folks.
This will be quick, because I need to go and pack. But I ran across some footage from Leandria Johnson and Elder Goldwire McLendon that I never got to use. They had both come to the BET Studios in New York to appear on106 & Park so I went and spent some time with them backstage in the dressing rooms. I never got a chance to get it edited and it wasn’t necessarily the best footage and was about to just do away with it but figured, why waste it? So here goes. My talks with Leandria and Elder McLendon behind the scenes at 106 & Park.
Remember, this is old and before the vote, I’m just sharing! Ok? Don’t talk about me too bad! LOL Just WATCH!

Congratulations to Sunday Best 3 winner Leandria Johnson!!! I think we all realized from episode that no matter what happened, she was special and going places. Well, she’s “leaped into her destiny” and was crowned the winner. Ladies and gentlemen, Leandria in her own words.

Finally, my recap on the Sunday Best 3 finale. I don’t know if you remember from last year, but I always get a little “emo” at the last episode of Sunday Best. We know it’s going to end but we still miss it and wish it wouldn’t. Well, here we go! Read the rest of this entry »

Congratulations are STILL in order for Elder Goldwire McLendon. Although he did not win the Sunday Best 3, he succeeded in inspiring us to all follow our dreams regardless of where we are in life and he was just a great singer, hands down! His future is bright! And I’m looking forward to it! Since I know so many of you loved the Elder, here he is in his own words.

It’s the next to last episode of Sunday Best 3 and y’all know I’m feeling some kind of way, right? You always know the show wwill eventually end but it doesn’t make it any less bittersweet (I’ve been using that word a lot lately, Jesus be a thesaurus all around me every day.) What am I going to do on Sunday nights? How am I going to get my fix? Ahhhhhhhhh! But let’s get to the show. Read the rest of this entry »

Sup folks. Episode 10 of Sunday Best 3 was a tough one. It was emotional, anointed, dynamic and a little sad. We had to say goodbye to a crowd favorite Durward Davis. Like we’ve said a million times, anybody going home last night was going to be hard. But something about Durward not advancing stung a little bit for me. I was really one of his biggest fans. But I won’t go into again. Everything happens as its meant to, so I digress. But Durward Davis is going to give his own perspective on his time on the show and his exit so ladies and gentlemen, here he is!
