Another long day and but always time to post a song that made my day. This will be short because I want you just to get to the song and be semi-laid out like I was. Ha! Today in the midst of a bunch of busy work, music kind of became background noise as I worked. See, today I had to deal with a lot of numbers and they’re certainly not my strong suit so my concentration was on one trillion! But even through all of that, this song cut through. John P. Kee and New Life’s “It Shall Be” pulled me out of my work and made me go in for just a second. Needed that! Shelia Lakin, whom I believe has sung with John P. Kee since Jesus graduated from seminary. She’s led a bunch of songs but I’ve yet to hear her sing like THIS! There are growls and notes in here I didn’t know she had. Read the rest of this entry »

So today’s a busy day and I’m going to get that Tonex convo up today as promised. So much stuff we had to chop it up, so I’m wading in those waters at the moment, but didn’t want to leave you without a little something for the meantime. So……another edition of “Now Playing…” where I give you a glimpse into my music playlist at the current moment. So today, we’re going to put the library on shuffle and see what comes up!
As always, those in “the deep” should grab their floaties at the door. Let’s see:
1. “Live A Lie” – Jazmine Sullivan
2. “Alright” – Tonex (total coincidence!)
3. ”I’m Not In Love” - Dee Dee Sharp
4. “Back To Love” – Faith Evans
5. “There Is A Name” – Nu Tradition
6. “Impulses” – Mali Music (he keeps showing up everytime I do these, lol)
7. ”Tonight Is the Night” – Jerzee Monet
8. “Live For You” – New Life Community Choir f/ John P. Kee
9. “Speak To The Generations” – Witness
10. “Foolish Fool” – Chaka Khan
Interesting mix today. What are you listening to? Let me know. So sit tight and keep checking back, part 1 of the Tonex convo is coming! If you want to find out when it posts first, follow me on Twitter. http://twitter.com/TorrenceG
I’m out for just a bit!
