Over the weekend Clinton Portis played host to over 300 guest for the launch of the new blog FashionDelegate.com. Although the party was complete with open bar, shrimp cocktails and champagne; Portis was a no show and lent his McLean, VA mansion for the affair. Party guest didn’t mind, editors of the blog, marketing exec Portia Hood and lobbyist Jennifer Fisher kept them entertained with Portis’s basement club (stripper pole and disco ball included).
The Fashion Delegate Blog
The blog purportedly merges DC’s fashion scene (well, the burgeoning one) with politics and of course events. Apparently Hood and Fisher are regulars on the DC socialite scene. Judge the site for yourself by clicking on the photo.
Spotted at the launch was BET’s own White House Correspondent, Andre Showell.

After the BET Honors took place Saturday night, we threw an after party at the Reagan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave.) in true BET style, complete with glitz, glamour and a-listers.

The event was decadently decorated by the illustrious Andre Wells and team, and DJ D-Nice was on the 1’s and 2’s. Also in the building was the BET Honors host Gabrielle Union, CW’s Paul Wharton, Trey Songz (who briefly serenaded the ladies at the DJ booth) and Redskins #11 Devin Thomas.

Monday night, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. was buzzing with the energy of reporters; but they weren’t working any angles last night- except maybe to snap a photo with the President at the White House’s annual Holiday Press Party.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers greeted invited press to the White House’s Red and Blue Rooms; while senior advisor Valerie Jarrett posed for pictures.
