BET WH Correspondent Andre Showell, Angel Elliott and Guest
After the BET Honors took place Saturday night, we threw an after party at the Reagan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave.) in true BET style, complete with glitz, glamour and a-listers.

The event was decadently decorated by the illustrious Andre Wells and team, and DJ D-Nice was on the 1’s and 2’s. Also in the building was the BET Honors host Gabrielle Union, CW’s Paul Wharton, Trey Songz (who briefly serenaded the ladies at the DJ booth) and Redskins #11 Devin Thomas.

The Ludacris Foundation's 6th Annual Benefit Dinner
This past Saturday night I attended The Ludacris Foundation’s 6th Annual Benefit Dinner. The Reagan Building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC served as the venue. The event honored public figures who are making a conscious effort to positively change the Black community for good.

Among the many honorees were BET’s own CEO & Chair, Debra Lee, legendary Grammy Award winning producer Quincy Jones, Kevin Liles, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Common, Raheem DeVaughn and Marcia Dyson were also among the many invited guest that turned out for the event…

The Ludacris Foundation Casino Night After-Party
The Ludacris Foundation is holding a Casino Night After-Party to accompany its 6th Annual Ludacris Foundation Dinner. The dinner takes place at the The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC.
BET’s own CEO Debra Lee is among the many distinguished honorees for the night, including Kevin Liles for the President’s Award, Quincy Jones for the Chairman’s Award, the Honorable Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) for the Congressional Leadership Award; and finally Kenny Carol for the Community Service Award.
The awards dinner is aimed at honoring individuals making a difference in the African American community by advancing the causes of education, literacy, public service, music, and business.
At the Casino Night After-Party after the gala, you’ll get to see your favorite politicians and celebrities breaking it down on the dance floor to live entertainment, participating in some (ahem) legal gambling; and winning some pretty hot prizes- its Luda after all.
Of course I’ll be in the building, giving you more than a birds eye view into the festivities. Don’t want to wait? You can experience it first hand. Buy your tickets HERE.
