Is this drama real? Or really good publicity for Real Housewives of D.C. ? 

So apparently, some drama went down backstage on the set of ABC’s “The View” yesterday when the cast of Bravo’s ”Real Housewives of D.C.” stopped through to promote the season. While the housewives were being interviewed, one of the show’s hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, walked on stage, touched Salahi’s shoulder, and said, “Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please.” To which Michaele replied, “Oh, if you’d like us to we can,” to a retreating Goldberg’s back.

After the show, Michaele Salahi ran to the secruity office bawling, claiming that she felt attacked; of course Goldberg defended herself and a verbal altercation ensued between herself and Tareq (Michaele’s husband). F-bombs were dropped, names were called and Goldberg didn’t back down. Reps from the ”The View” said:

“As the broadcast clearly shows, the accusation was completely unfounded. After being told she was being accused of hitting Ms. Salahi, Whoopi proceeded to defend herself verbally.”

 Why does this couple shake things up where ever they go? Publicity? Extending that 15 minutes? Looks like they won’t have to because “Real Housewives of D.C.” airs tonight on Bravo.

For the small price of $45 you can meet a real life housewife (insert sarcasm here)! As of yet unconfirmed Real Housewives of DC stars Michaele and Tareq Salahi will be hosting “Hollywood vs. Bollywood” this Thursday, April 8th at District (2473 18th St. NW) with a ’special guest”.

The event is produced by The Power Players Club (DC socialite Kelly Ann Collins) with music by DJ Manifesto. There will be a silent auction with items including guitars signed by Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers (where’d they get those from?)

Sponsors include America’s Polo Cup, WKYS Radio-One, Kingfisher Airlines, Glittarazzi and DAUM French Luxury Art. Can’t even lie guys, this is the event to attend this Thursday if you want to be with the DC social elite (because we’ll be there), or just gauke at the supposed White House Party Crashers.

According to extra reliable sources of mine, Real Housewives of DC will air this July, instead of the originally slated September release of the show. Speculation on whether the Salahis (famous White House State Dinner Crashers) will be a part of the cast continues. But their fate on the franchise secretly has more to do with another castmate’s uh, decision. Let’s just say a meeting with Bravo execs is happening next week and could see someone getting the boot, or something else.

Apparently the other castmates don’t want to be aligned with the Salahis, and some drama could go down at the green screen shoot for the opening shot of the show. I mean, who would want to be associated with a couple that allegedly crashed the President’s party? This season of “RHODC” could have more firsts than you think. Sorry for the cryptic details, but some things must be kept under wraps for awhile! Published reports about the Salahis’ DEFINITE participation shouldn’t speak SO fast, lol. This season of “Real Housewives” has gotten more pre-publicity than any other thus far…should be interesting! According to some rather reliable sources, the Real Housewives of DC cast wrap party is happening right now at Brass Monkey (2317 18th St. NW) in Adams Morgan.

Rumored (or not so much) cast members Paul Wharton *smile*, Mary Amons and someone by the last name of Salahi are all in attendance.

Now it’s not necessarily a reason to run and grab your camera for a photo op- but a little inside info to keep you in the know, like always.
