Kendrick Meek

According to staff on ground at Kendrick Meek Headquarters, Congressman Kendrick Meek is conceding defeat to Republican candidate and Tea Party favorite, Marco Rubio in the Florida Senate Race. This race was one of the most watched  this election season.

Complete with its own mini-drama,  many questioned whether forces within Meek’s own party fully supported him.  Then late in the race , the most dramatic twist yet.  News broke that former President Bill Clinton asked  Meek to drop out of the race and support independent candidate Charlie Crist.  Meek said last week that Clinton did not ask him directly to get out of the race and insists he never agreed to any such arrangement.

Monday night Clinton hosted a rally for Meek in Orlando and two appeared as chummy as ever.  However, it appears the last minute efforts were not enough to deliver Meek a win.
