THE CHANGE HAS FINALLY COME.YES, I DO INDEED THINK MR. BARACK OBAMA SHOULD BE BET 2008 PERSON OF THE YEAR. HE HAS INSPIRED ME IN SO MANY WAYS. HE HAS TOUCHED NOT ONLY THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY BUT PEOPLE FROM ALL RACE IS FASCINATED BY MR. OBAMA’S KNOWLEDGE AND WILLINGNESS TO MAKE THAT CHANGE. WE AS PEOPLE NEED TO COME TOGETHER AND HELP THIS PHENOMENON MAN TO CONQUER . JUST TO THINK BACK ON HOW MANY OF OUR ANCESTORS (AFRICAN AMERICANS) WAS TREATED SO BAD IN THE PAST,FROM MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. TO BARACK OBAMA, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS DAY WILL COME. LET US REJOICE AND PRAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS AND SHIELD HIM TO DO WHAT HE NEED TO DO AS THE LEADER OFTHIS COUNTRY. GOD IS IN THE BLESSING BUSINESS. AND, I DO FEEL AS IF GOD HAS GIVEN US THIS EXTRAORDINARY MAN TO BE OUR PRESIDENT.

i think that Mr. Obama deserves “person of the year.” not only does he portray what the majority of America is, but he is also an inspiration to everyone, not only blacks. he has shown that it is possible to accomplish goals, hopes, and dreams with hard work and dedication. i know that race was a contributing factor for a large amount of people voting, but obama takes it a step further by encouraging everyone, no matter what race one is, to challenge themselves to work for what they want out of life without letting the issue of race being an obstacle. in all seriousness, obama is a very intelligent young man that has the compassion and potential to change America for the better. i urge everyone to follow in his footsteps of hardwork and accomplishments to better their own lives instead of depending on others for something that could be done ourselves. granted, it is a huge task at hand, but he is capable of handling it. so, to Mr. Obama, KUDOS TO YOU from new jersey.

this was not only a dream for mr. dr. martin luther king, jr., but for so many others…i’m 25 and i have never been as passionate about my voice being heard for anything as i was for this 2008 presidential election…when mr. barack obama won pennsylvania, my four year old niece said i’m glad mccain didn’t win, LOL…to know that someone has that effect on people, especially a four year old, is amazing…i cried when they announced our next president of the united states is barack obama…and i still shed a tear of amazment, excitment, hope, and faith everytime i think about it, see a picture of him and our beuatiful first family, and hear something about this great moment in not only history, but black history…i shed a tear for my grandfather who was a vetern who fought day in and day out so that his grand children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren could witness this moment…i cry for all my ancestors who thought they would never see this day and for my brother (r.i.p.) who was not here to witness this…and for my four year old niece who now knows she can go a couple of steps further in this country…the best child of God, the best man won…congratulations, mr. president-elect, barack obama and strong black family

yes OBAMA is person of the year he is an example and insperation for change in the minds of young african american males and females today. beacause of him winning this race every child is inspired to be the best the can be in life and get there act together. so if he can do that then i highly agree that hes person of the year
