i dont think this situation is about child support i have children of my own & paying child support is the easy part raisin the child is the hard part so i dont think that is an issue plus wat teen u kno wants 2 live @ home if u r b n a parent & not just a friend & tryin 2 raise them the the rite way i remember wantin 2 live wit my dad when i was a teen thats b cuz he let me do things that i had no bizniz doin out of guilt 4 not b n there all the time like he should have been & i agree with 1 of the other comments that sum 1 had had made it must have been sum things goin on in the 1st place 4 him2 get custudy cuz the courts try thier best 2 keep children with their moms

Maybe, just maybe the son doesn’t like the way he was living with his father. Who really knows, yes, he had full custody for some reason that we may not know, but why would a kid want to leave a father that has money and that was probably living a good life, so we think. Something must not have been right with those living arrangements with his father. If the mother was so bad then why does the kid want to be with her. She obviously doesn’t have what Damon has so why would the kid not want to be there. He is a teenager and knows what he wants and right now he wants his mother. Is that so bad. Maybe when they go to court, which she should do and let the teenager explain why he would prefer to be with his mother. I agree with one of the comments, Damon is an “arrogant A__hole” and probably doesn’t spent any time with the kid. But the best way to handle this is through the court. The child should be where he wants to be and that is with his mother. What child would leave the good life to be with a mother who doesn’t probably have half of what damon has unless there was a reason!!!Think about it.

If the child is over 13 years of age, and is given that decision by the Judge to live with his mom or dad, whom ever the child chooses, is were the Judge will rule unless that parent chosen , is proven beyond any measure to be unfit. He is a FATHER who has been there for his child who HAS SOLE CUSTODY of THEIR SON! why didn’t Mom have SHARED PARENTING? whatever the reason she DID NOT! The Black Community should not tear a Father down who is there for his kids. If this was a mom in his shoes the Father would have a warrant out for his arrest, probaly could call it kidnapping. I pray that the judge does what is right for this child.

I worked in law enforcement for over 20 years and when it comes to judges THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. Once a judge’s daughter gave birth to his first grandchild and he sentenced everyone in his courtroom that day to Probation. Even those who were not Probation eligible and ulimately had to be resentenced. You are suppose to promote the best interest of the child. We all know what a judge’s role is suppose to be but if they did what they were suppose to do someone would be in jail for the murders of Sean Bell and all the others before him who were gunned downed and weaponless. Don’t even think: “If the judge granted custody then it must be a good reason”. Sadly and oddly enough money talks and is THE MOST powerful tool in existence.

unless you have been involved in a custody matter you all don not understand the strategy and equatation of the matter…

I am sitting here in rage reading some of the feed back…

Several years ago I confronted what Linda is and the child was awarded to the father based solely on his ability to pay for all the child’s needs…no I am not a crack addict, law breaker, unemployed or a hoe…

I simply did not have the money to fight the system( as Linda clearly did not) and the courts looked at the numbers and gave my child to a emotionally deffective, evil and manipulating individual…

Unlike Linda I will not continue to go back and forth to court because control freaks get off on that and I refuse to feed any man’s ego…I know that the law will change to my favor and when it does I am suing this man for every penny he has…

Unlike Linda I can be very patient and when the time comes I will strike…

All dads that have their kids are not necessarily the parent with the child’s interest in mind and all moms that loose their kids are not nuts, bums or misguided…

Unless you men can have a period you need to step off and do it quickly!!!

just because he is who he is does’nt mean he can take care of a kid. but its the father and man in him that can. i feel she needs to return thier son to him and face the reason to why she lost jr to damon in the first place.

One of the problems in all this is that parents don’t “listen” to their child/children. I feel that if the child wants to live with his mom-let him! We don’t know the whole story and shouldn’t pass judgement on the mother. Money talks…and yes I do believe that DD has sole custody because he doesn’t have to give the mother a dime. As a matter of fact, we don’t know if the mother even has visitation rights. The mother has a right to see her child and I think both the mother and DD need to be mature adults and talk about what’s best for junior.

ONE TIME I HEARD HIM SAY THAT HE WAS A CAKE-A-HOLIC WHICH MEANS HE LOVED MONEY AND MAKING MONEY WHCIH IS NOT A PROBLEM BUT TO LOVE MONEY IN THE TONE AND THE MANNERISM HE SAID IT JUST MADE ME FEEL THAT MONEY WAS IMPORTANT TO HIM AND THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF EVIL

yo i think the lawyer for the boy is not needed. its not about what the child wants its about what is best for him or her and if the courts gave him to damen the mother must have been doing somthing that was not in the best intrest of the child so the boy needs to go home with his dad
