POLITICS: The Big Five Gather to Wish Obama Well

 President-elect Barack Obama pulled together the four living U.S. presidents Wednesday to pose for a photograph that is sure to be classic. “I just want to thank the president for hosting us,” the president-elect said. “All the gentlemen here understand both the pressures and possibilities of this office,” Obama said. “For me to have the opportunity to get advice, good counsel and fellowship with these individuals is extraordinary.” But while President George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H. Bush and Jimmy Carter came together in the Oval Office for the historic picture, it is unlikely that any of the former commanders in chief could possibly prepare Obama for the daunting task that lies ahead. That’s because Obama is facing a bigger challenge than any incoming president in recent memory: The nation is mired in recession; is still engaged in two wars; and is battling record unemployment. In addition, he takes over following eight years of divisive inter-party politics and the ever-present reality of lingering racial strife.  The good news, though, is that his predecessors seemed more than willing to stand by his side through the tough times. “One message that I have and I think we all share is that we want you to succeed. Whether we’re Democrat or Republican we care deeply about this country,” George W. Bush said. “All of us who have served in this office understand that the office itself transcends the individual. We wish you all the very best, and so does the country.”

Arent you just immature. It makes me feel so overwhelmed whenever I read about Obama its such a inspiration to see this man. He is so smart and Regal and he’s a great man. I can’t wait until January 20th. WE SO CAN!!!

It was such a great picture to see our own beloved brother President Obama standing side by side with other great leaders of the most powerful nation on earth. But I have a question to ask. Why was it that the Bushes were sqizing too close to Obama and not giving him a breathing space that the man had to fold his hands to creat a space for him self.
No matter what Obama is the incoming president and no one can change that. Its been sad the way he has been treated after winning the election and cant even move into the home designated for the incoming president due to pre-booking claimed by the Bush administrator with the man from Australia, that really sucks. Again no matter what ever they may try to pull. God has already spoken and no one can change that. During his first visit to the white house after winning the election. They could have at least sent one of the Air force one planes to bring him and family to Washington, instead Obama had to ride one of the commercial flights. Its ok, The day is the 20TH come what may HE is the chossen one and no one can change that.
