Why are people getting mad because they did this show in light of all the drama that’s going on with Chris Brown & Rihanna? Of course they would talk about it now, since it’s in the spotlight. At the same time, this is the perfect time to talk about it. Free & Alesha prove that young girls go through this all the time, so they need someone to talk about it. And, celebrities like Chris Brown & Rihanna have huge influences on young people. So, it needs to be said, that it’s not okay to get back with your abuser. And, no matter what she did, if she did anything, no woman deserves to be hit. Men are physically bigger and stronger than women. The comment that he wouldn’t beat her like that for nothing is ridiculous. Abusers don’t need a good reason to beat their girlfriend/boyfriend. Just looking at them wrong can cause them to go into a fit of rage. And, it’s obvious that is not the first time that he hit her. The first time is usually a slap or something like that. Chris has obviously been beating her for a long time. And, yes, it’s sad that it took this for more people to talk about. And, no, no one said anything when Tina Turner was getting beat, because they didn’t talk about issues like that at that time. And, a lot of older women didn’t see anything wrong with it. Heck, Tina’s own mother told Ike where she was because Ike was a “good man”. He took care of her and the family. As long as a man did that, a woman wasn’t supposed to have a complaint. Tina’s abuse happened in a different time. That doesn’t mean it’s right. That’s just the way it was. But, don’t come down on Oprah, Tyra, and 106 & Park for trying to shed some facts and statistics for young girls and boys on the issues. If you feel it needs to be talked about more, arrange to do that in your community. Nothing is stopping you. I applaud them all for what they are trying to do. I just wonder how many of the poster who are mad at 106 for doing the show, and think Rihanna did something to get beat are older than 20.

I am very happy this very serious topic is being addressed by the BET 106 & Park Show because Domestic Violence is very prevalent in the youth population. Young adults need to understand that this behavior is unacceptable and very harmful to their physical, mental, and overall well being. Being a victim of Domestic Violence will lower your self esteem and can ultimately end your life! I was a victim of Domestic Violence as a young adult by someone I never thought would treat me like that. We lived together and he’d become very verbally abusive. He would tear down my self esteem when things in his life became difficult. Eventually one day he did attempt to physically abuse me. I took matters into my own hands and almost landed myself in jail! What is most important is that yound ladies understand you can’t always tell when a man will become Mr. Hyde. He will always profess to not do it again, and he will always apologize. This is NOT ENOUGH! You must REMOVE YOURSELF from this man/woman. You need to understand its not your fault he isn’t doing well in his life. It isn’t your fault he is insecure. You DO NOT deserve to be BELITTLED, BEATEN, or ABUSED. Get the help you need by going to support groups and get counseling. This behavior is so popular, yet it isn’t taken seriously by people involved. Do not worry about what others are going to think if they knew, because it won’t matter at your funeral.

I would like to say God is the Mightyeir Judge. First and foremost Women have totally forgotten how things Used to be a few Days back, when they had no Equal Rights! Man Decided to give out and reach to them as equal help meets. In other words do what we do with no strings attached. Physically Man can over power women anyday, so they really do not have any kind of protection from anywhere if they begin to abuse the man who God created to be him here on earth.

the domestic violence really showed me that being in foster care for being hit and verbally abused is just another way for people that have been hit to try to be all tough. but that episode mde me want to be more aware of who I date and to always have the strength to go to someone if that were to happen to me it taught me something thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am against domestic violence of any kind;but I am disappointed with all the negative comments about this couple. What Chris did is very,very wrong; but there is a God(not us) and He does make povision for forgiveness and redemption. Thus I believe that with help Chris can be redeemed and he and Rhinnna can have a life together. This is a wake -up-call for us all.

He does it because he gets a cheap thrill out of it, but mostly he does it because he has no respect nor love for females as they refer to y’all as. In other words, some guys just do not like women/females. No, I am not referring to their sexual preference, they just don’t like females. So they deal with females because she’s a female as oppose to a male. But clearly they do not like females. This is why it is so easy to have no respect for them, to not fall in love with them, and even to beat them.
