I really can’t believe how reluctant the N.A.A.C.P. wants to voice their opinion by reserving their action or viewas when the racist has not only expressed his racist remarks but imposed a hatered in the thoughts and minds of those students who will be tarnished by his remarks. I think the NAACP should ORDER than that racist !!!!!! be fired or we will protest in front of that school until either it close down or fire that PIG.

I jus think it shows tha true colors of america, and how races many people (WHITE) , it sad but this is White America, Tupac Said, “I see no change, and we will never see a BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!

I for one, am sick of all of this stuff. It should come to no surprise that we are hearing all of these unfair comments. Personally, I don’t know how we (as a society) say that we beleive in God but we treat our fellow man like they are a piece a trash. I am tired of “us” ( african americans) having to justify who we are because you dislike the color of our skin. Yes, I respect that everyone has an opinion but come on! Some things are just plain hurtful. My OPINION is (after all I have been through personally and what we as a whole have been thorugh) if you are qualified for the job, than that is exactly what you are-QUALIFIED. Others let their mouths say they want change and that we have equality but that isn’t what the case is (we all know it). They say it and some may even believe it UNTIL “we” are on top. I don’t know what it is. I just think we all need to stop this foolishness and see the facts for what they really are. In this day and time, we all are suffering (the upper class,middle class and lower class). We all are paying the price and should be striving for a better tomorrow. We need to evaluate the things we are doing now and the impression we are leaving for our young ones who are influenced by many things. Everyone wants the best for their children, so do what’s right and be the better person. Show them that no matter what or who you are, you can be whoever you want to be mainly because you worked your tail off and you are QUALIFIED (for a JOB WELL DONE).

Now, for the comment(s) made by the “educator”. You should be ashamed of what you are putting our children through (I too am an educator) and you should be FIRED, not just because of what was said and done but because you violated so many codes of ethics in teaching that I can’t even mention. With any job, such as teaching young minds you must uphold yourself in a matter that is fair to all. I’m sorry but I personally would not have an educator of this kind teaching my child hurtful things. I teach my students to be fair and to do what is right. I also teach them that you can have an opinion and you even have the right to dislike someone for there ways but you will respect them. You never place your own views or beliefs on anyone because that, you do not have the right. I am also ashamed that the district is reacting like his comments did not matter. Again, I ask WHAT ARE YOU SHOWING OUR CHILDREN? That it is okay to say whatever you want only if you write it (for all to see) and not say it. I am an educator who is moving to the state of Florida and will make sure that I will not be employed for this district because you are not being fair to the children or the community and I don’t want to be apart of a district that doesn’t punish those who do things wrong. And I would not be surprise if some great teachers don’t leave for the way you are handling this situation. When you are providing a service you have to remember that when you are responsible for others (superintendent) you speak for EVRYONE and you can’t oversee the wrongdoing of one and chatise another. I think someone needs to evaluate your position as well. We all cry for everyone and everything to be fair and provide justice that is true but when you keep doing the same things (that didn’t work before) you continue to get the same results. STRIVE to be better and let yourself be known for doing the right thing.

Last, I wanted to comment on other comments. I know that we are all outraged and you should be but an eye for an eye never helped anyone and two wrongs never make a right. I truly believe that this is exactly how some people want us to act. So that we (african americans) can continue to be the same old “staus quo”. we have to be better than that and realize that there will always be “hatters”, that is exactly what they are born to do (HATE), so let them. Don’t let the actions of others get in the way of what you are trying to accomplish. Everyone didn’t like Jesus but he kept on believing and gave his life FOR US ALL. I believe and I know (whether it be a “change” in 2008 or any time that follows) a “change” will come (for us all).

The story is amazing. How can this person STILL be employed and what about a Civil Rights Violation filed by the U.S. Justice Department on behalf of ALL the students in his class.

I just don’t understand how anyone can explain this. He should have his citizenship revoked and shown to the border and departed. There’s not enough forgiveness in my heart. This is the pure assassination of the minds of ALL of the students in his class. I hope someone spent time, and I mean real time reviewing and making sure these young people get through this and taught them hatred knows no boundaries. We just don’t need to give anyone like this a second chance. Citizenship should privilegeilage.

I’ve wondered how he explained his thinking. I believe ultimately not saying or doing something that is of a “ism” variety, like racism or sexism is really not enough. Until one removes it completely from their brain, their internal thought process, that voice that one thinks only THEY hear, it will find away out into the world. People say “don’t use the N-word”. I say don’t even think it. It is a hurtful word. It’s purpose in it’s creation was to maim, to reduce, to make one feel “less than”, like other racist words used about other races.

I guess he put his mind on idol. And as many of us heard growing up from our parents or other wise souls, “An idol mind is the devils workshop”. I wonder what he should have been thinking about, maybe improving these kids lives rather than scarring them, some for life.

When I am solicited by the NAACP for membership or contributions, I always think, what are they doing? Why should I be a member of an organization that for the most part sits back and watches from the sidelines? This man should be fired, what is the NAACP investigating? Under what circumstance is this ok?

When we get the enemies of CHANGE to react emotionally like this so called teacher, it is an indication that we are heading in the right direction.

The funny thing about this is that you know that teacher must have known what he was doing and the sad part is the damage is already done. I feel what we all need to do (black, white and all the colors of the world) Is to not let Children minds get clouded as some people have already. OBAMA should only get elected based on his merit and not color. As a black male that would mean more to me then him getting elected for being black. He should also not lose because he’s black. I say give that teacher his job back and let the kids he teach learn how to deal with that kind of person because all he is, is something that’s slowly becoming extinct in america and thats stupidity!
And at this point We’re all to broke to concern ourselves with that and need to focus on the whats happening now!.

A teacher that can write things like that on the board, is a bad influence to this kids. I feel for those six black kids in his class cause they have been a victim of racism over and over in that class room on closed doors.

He should be fired without a question in my mind. He knew his actions were unacceptable when he made the choice to write something so vulgar on the board. In addition, being a teacher, it is his responsibility to teach FACTS not RACISM. However he was exposing and imposing his “radicalistic” views on children. Raping their minds and innocence. Severe criminal and punitive charges should follow against him and the school board and/or any other organization or government protecting him.

As a mother first I feel sorry for the children that were in that classroom that had to here this from someone who is suppose to teach them the constitution. We are never going to get out of this rut so we might as well quit complaining and take action. Being outraged is not going to help. Going to the polls will. Yelling on t.v. does not help. Teaching all our children what GOD says does. We will always be considered trash and unteachable. Show them by pulling up your pants, stop killing each other, stop acting like we are the minority and being the drug runners for them. We need to be who GOD says that we are KINGS and QUEENS. I’m not surprised by the slap on the wrist. A Spring Branch ISD, Houston, TX elementary teacher was never disciplined after racially insulting my Son before his entire 4th grade class. The Teacher told my Son, “When White People came out of the Coal Mines their skin was your color but lucky for them all they had to do to look like me was take a shower to become clean again.” My Son was 1 of 3 black children in the class and My Husband and I were the only Parents who complained to the school. I was told by the Principal, that I was being to “Sensitive” and that Teacher had over 20 years of excellent history with the District and she didn‘t want to tarnish that amount of dedication.

The teacher was told to apologize to the class for the comment but never actually apologize. My Son was only 9 years old and was traumatized by the incident. I get tears in my eyes when I remember My Son telling me, “I wish I could wash off my skin so that I can be clean like my Teacher.” I told him your Dark Skin is beautiful and never let anyone tell you any different.

Trust me nothing else is going to happen to this Teacher unless the NAACP gets involved. Teachers can get away with almost anything.

This only makes me wish that more parents would get involved in their children’s education. When I was fortunate to set my own work schedule, I made sure to visit my son’s school 2-3 days a week just helping out at lunch time, helping out in the classroom or just observing. It is our right as parents to do that and most schools welcome parental involvement. I bet he would have never said that had their been another observer in the room! Had I been in the room, it woulda been on! Our children need better teachers who actually care, this makes me want to change occupations. For those of you who are a part of the school system, I urge you to take your role seriously and extend my thank you’s to those who are great role models and diligent teachers!

well…… i didn’t find this at all funny one bit or educational for the children. what he was telling these kids is that they should go against african people. he should be really punished for this. i think that he needs more than a 10 day suspension. he should’nt carry racisim around because it’s the past. and me personally i love african people and i find that disrespectful. racism is still around but the children should’nt be expose to this. he needs to be punished bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ignorance will continue to grow until we destroy it with education. I believe this teacher should be fired and never allowed to teach in the school system again. I am new to the south and I see racisim so blatant since I’ve been here and I hurt for the people who are here and don’t know anything else. It is a learned ignorance.
