Last night my friend & I were listenig to Barack Obama’s speech @ the Democratic National Convention, & I have to say that I was impressed with what I heard. I then asked my friend if he thought Obama might win the election since Bill & Hillary Clinton are supporting him. He looked @ me & said he didn’t think so. He then questioned why Obama would accept support from someone who was against him @ the beginning of the presidential race. At first I was undecided with who I was going to vote for,but after hearing Obama’s speech, I feel that he sincerely cares for our country (no matter what the skin color) & is willing to work hard to make things right. It is time for a change and I believe Obama is the man to make that change. HE HAS MY VOTE!
After 9-11 we needed to here a speech like that , because every since 9-11
our moral was down. Obama reminded us that we need to get back to the basic . We need to bring our jobs back to america, we need to lead the world again in education, we need a strong healthcare system again, we need to bring our troop home from Iraq.We need to make amends with our allies who we lost during the Bush era. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE
OBAMA-OBAMA-OBAMA 09
I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would see a African American male as a front runner for any major political party. This is truly historic whether Barack Obama win or loses. There are so many people who have paved the way for him to get this far. This is the changing of the guard. This is the era of new black leardership. Jesse Jackson I love you and respect all the work you have done for our people and others. I think it’s time for a change. I know that you have taught us to keep hope alive. And with Obama running for president hope may have finally come true.
I am so excited and very happy for Barack Obama. I am sleep deprived from watching the DNC all week long..oh yes! On BET with Jeff Johnson. I had to represent on BET cause ABC & all the other networks were not giving me the coverage the way we needed to see it. Even the press profiled the coverage differently. If Michelle Obama was the focal point on Monday why do I need to go to page 4 in the NY Post to read her story? Why wasn’t she on front page or the second page? Why is Senator Ted Kennedy on front page? All election coverage was suppose to occupy the first few pages. So much for coverage or shall I say censorship. The truth is being televised and will be heard by Black media..Believe that ! They keep throwing monkey wrenches at you Obama but we’re taking over! Change is here no matter how you look at it!
