president a house #%#~$, it’s crazy they even know that concept.
It’s not true Obama will try his best to bring our world together….

As an American, I stand firmly behind Obama and any other American president regardless of party, when it comes to people of foreign nations, especially terrorists such as this, insulting and attacking us. I utterly despise this insane Al Queda official. But…

He brings up a point I have been telling many of my Black friends, and I am a Black man from the South, who is a descendant of slaves . Obama was widely supported by many Whites in this country not simply because of his eloquence and charisma. He was supported because, by not having any Black history in this country (i.e. not a descendant of slaves, the victims of Jim Crow, or the creators of the spirituals, blues, jazz, gospel, rock n roll) he was able to present himself as a non threatening Black man. In other words he is not “too black” and is a safe Negro. He avoided race as much as possible, promoted a post racial America, and brought up his White ancestry when beneficial. He is a master politician. I have angered many by saying that labeling Obama as the 1st Black President ,reduces Blackness in America to the superficial and strips the label of all historical and experiential merit. I wouldn’t call him a “House slave”, but he by no means is a confrontational brother.

Obama is not the first President with Black Blood, he is just the first that admitted and could not hide it. However, he is mixed. So the Real Miracle out of this is that Michelle, which is a slave descendant, and her two Black Daughters will be in that white house. Michelle will be the First Lady of the United States for the World to See. Obama intelligence is seen by his wife choice. His intelligence compared to other Black and mixed males can not be denied, for they all want non-original women. Or women not of ORIGIN. So Michelle, Malia, And Sacha is the true Story here, regardless of the fact that white people voted for Obama because they knew he was mixed, and the economic situation scared them away from Palin, Mccain and the Repugs. Also President Lincoln, hid his background of his Black, and Native that was close by, to become President . There were 9 other Presidents with Black blood, who could pass for white and did. They just hid their grandparents. Blacks was Before the U.S. so to trip out over a mixed man becoming President is to celebrate Black Oppression Also. Yes it is unique, All Praise Due to God. But it is also alarming the successful Oppression of 500 years will make us so giddy of a mixed man spending almost a billion dollars and the media, damned near brainwashing the public to Obamanation. Ahh David, the self appointed blog scholar who is citing Wikipedia as a creditable reference…be careful-Wikipedia is written and info added by other bloggers and some info is not verified. Its in the disclaimer. Yes, Africans traded African slaves, Arabic people traded africans and alternate arabic tribes- most slaves were acquired by enemy tribes that lost a war-the victors took territory and slaves. But the slaves had courts and though had hard brutal work, they had laws protecting them (I’m not saying there was no brutal abuse, just laws of protection).And servitude was not automatic for children of slaves-some worked as slaves for a set number of years and were released from bondage. They had to conform to their master’s culture,religion and government usually.
Could not just treat them any kind of way-all that changed when White Europeans brought slaves to the islands first to be broken and then to America. They had to be broken and divided-could not have them doing like the American Indians (fighting to the death and tribes killing themselves before accepting slavery on their own land that they ruled).

Seems like these days all kinds of bondage goes on whether we know it or not (in all races). Some are slave to many ills. And bodies are sold along with minds. David seems to be a “slave” to aggressive,self- proporting,snide and demeaning verbage on this site. Dave-its TIRED ok?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but to say that people’s minds are owned by the media is to insult each individual’s intelligence. You do not have that right that is what whites have done for years and you are part of the problem. Barack Obama is the first African American president regardless what you may think. You are probably mixed and feel the need to differentiate rather than be yourself so…get over it. Everybody is mixed with something. You will hear it time and again. Find something better to do with your mind. Fill your idol time with knowledge not race calculating and research.

I totally agree with you comments regarding our minds but Marlene is right about Barack not being the first president of mixed heritage. He is the first to admit his heritage. Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and 3 others had black blood but kept it a secret.

This is a big thing in the United States no one thought there would be a black president now that we have one it makes some people nerves. If we cant come together as a nation at this historic time then how can we tell a nother country too. A lot of Americans went against the grain to make this happen and as long as we have people out their with the mind frame like Leticia it slows the unity process down the man ant even in office yet and they already haten on that man. Slavery is a true fact. Black africans traded other blacks africans that were captured from war. Euros bought these excess slaves from tribal leaders from the coasts and traded for guns and other imports. Euros were unable to go into the mainland themselves because they were outnumbered plus they lost too many men to sickness.
