Angie Stone partners with Lilly for diabetes project
The Lilly company has partnered with musician Angie Stone to launch the “Fearless African-Americans Connected and Empowered” diabetes campaign, which encourages Blacks to better manage their diabetes. The FACE campaign will include a series of programs that will “help foster behavioral and attitudinal changes in areas critical to success in managing diabetes, such as nutrition/cooking, physical activity, health and overall well-being,” according to Lilly. The effort will begin in Atlanta in May, followed by Washington, D.C., and Indianapolis.
