This law unfairly targets African American Males. However I hope those who signed this law into action is willing to uphold it when those defying it are young white males, who seem to gravitate towards the hip hop culture. And while we’re placing laws on decency, I hope this law include women who insist on the world seeing their under-wear, mid-rif, breast, tight clothing, heck where does it end, matter of fact lets just enact a law requiring folks to wear burkas! lol

P.S This law will be taken off the books as soon a white male is arrested and his parents realize this affects his chances of getting into a good school. We’ll then be taught a lesson into why this law is unjust!

I understand…life is a journey discover as much as you can.

Because of the way I was introduced to religion, I considered myself athiest, then agnostic, then I discovered there was something that has been guiding me. I’ve been exposed to different religions and religious people and I respect a lot it/them. However, for me, religion is not the only path–neither is science… Neither can answer all of life’s questions.

This problem does not need a law or fines. I am an over weight mother of two teenage boys. All I have to do is wear my old lady underwear and threaten them that if they wear their pants like, I will too. Funny how fast they pull up their pants. They don’t want to see mine, I don’t want to see theirs. Problem solved.

they need to worry about catching rapists, molestors, drug dealers and murderers before they make laws about the CLOTHING that people wear. absolutely ridiculous. they should be ashamed.

does anyone know where this originated, how saggy pants became the new trend in clothing amongst the young folks in the african-american community( and trsut me there are just and many young white guys doing the same)…Prisons !!!!!!!!! wearing saggy, below the waist pants in prison identified those inmates who were “available” to other inmates who needed “male companionship” to put it lightly. The was a study done in this some time ago; and part of it was aired last year on either CNN or TRUTV – as a part of the sexuality in prisons. I work for the department of correction in my home state and this is an ongoing issue on how to address it.

Its all good im glad they have this ban. Im a black male, 28…i sag sometimes still cuz i been doing it since a teen. Not to the extent that my a$$ is visable…but its still sagging.
I am assuming since they have this law…they will make a law for people who wear ‘high-water” pants…
people who wear tight-a$$ pants (males/cowboys/females with no booty)
And definately women who still wear pants that show their panty lines…

There’s a few things that I don’t want to see no more either and I wish somebody would fine these folks:

thongs that show
too much cleavage
crotch bulging tight pants on men and women
crack of the butts showing
size 12 clothes on size 18 women
baldheaded men with comb overs
women with facial hair
men with breast

I think all states need to do something about sagging pants. Some of this guys have their pant all the way down showing their behind. I think it is disgraceful for a male person, regardless of race, to walk showing their underwear. But I guess it makes no difference when some women go around showing their bras. My goodness, what is left for the imagination?

I have a 16 year old son and until he’s 18 he will not wear saggin jeans. I don’t like the concept but it’s a trend and people have the right to do it. It is discriminatory and if we are going to fine young african american males for wearing their pants low and showing their underwear then we should fine the young caucasian males for wearing their pants too tight and exposing imprint or their ?$@$%$~. If people keep being racist before long black girls are going to be fined for having big bottoms and white girls for having big tops. It’s crazy but there’s always some racist sitting at the top of the food chain waiting to get his claws into the black community. I think we do enough damage to ourselves and we don’t need their help. So stand up black people and stick together pull your pants up and then write a letter to these same ignorant lawmakers to make those white kids clean up their act. They wear their pants just as low as our kids do in some commnities.

i believe people should be able to wear there pants how they wnt them becuse this is a free country and people have rights. if people didnt wnt to see their under clothes they can turn there head. their may be somethin to do wit race somewhere along this law because mostly blacks wear their pants below their waist. i really think people should have a choice of how they wnt to wear their clothes.
