Atlanta Police have finally identified a robbery suspect they shot dead four days before Christmas. Police say that 44-year-old Carlos Stringer of Riverdale is the man who marked the third shooting by Atlanta officers in just four days. Two of those victims died from their wounds. All of the men shot by police had been confronted during robberies, according to the department. For example, on Dec. 18, officers exchanged gunfire with an armed man police said was running from a house in northwest Atlanta that he had just tried to rob. No one was injured, and the suspect was taken into custody. A day later, an Atlanta police officer shot and killed a man who allegedly kidnapped and tried to rob a pedestrian and was being pursued by a patrol car in northeast Atlanta. Two days after that, Stringer was shot to death while he and another man were running from a Dollar General Store. Police say an officer confronted the men and ordered them to freeze. Stringer was shot in the head and the other man escaped. All three shootings are still being investigated.

Wow, racism is only what feeds the soul of a miserable human-being. There is one or two in every family, every country. I am a person who sees life in a way that probably hurts more souls than I can carry. You can call me anything you choose and I would say to you THANK YOU! You could NEVER break my soul because it was made for one purpose only to serve GOD. When (you) could reach there you would realize ( I/we have a much stronger calling) and you would smile and turn the other cheek for them to do as please. My sisters and brothers in Christ words here on Earth or just that WORDS, BUT your ACTIONS here on EARTH determine your DESTINY with CHRIST. Those who seek harm of others shall reap the hands of the SAVIOR IN CHRIST. That goes to ALL including myself!!!

Wait are police officers suppose to aim for a human head? Wrongful death is JUST TOTALLY WRONG

Contrary to (white) popular belief, the vast majority of blacks have no problem with police officers shooting dangerous, gun-toting suspects. All criminals deserve their fate. If someone doesn’t want to get shot robbing banks or fellow citizens, then stop robbing banks and fellow citizens. That’s it; that’s all. But, what blacks do find appalling is racial profiling that seems to always end in some innocent black citizen being shot. That should never happen and especially in the numbers that are being reported. I’m not one who cries wolf (racism) at every arrest or shooting of a person of color, but I am concerned about the way many (not all) white people surrender themselves to racist belief systems about people of color. They seem to have this attitude about all people of color, not just blacks. You’ll hear it when they speak of Latinos or Arabs or Vietnamese. There’s this sound of superiority in their voice that indicates that there is no real connection to them as citizen of the world. Maybe that’s somewhat justified, because after all, they are the minority in the world community. Over ninety-five percent of the world are people of color. So, to all you folks that find a need to hate on Blacks in an attempt to make yourself feel better, maybe focusing inward might help you accomplish your goal. We don’t hate law enforcement and we’re no more lawless than any other ethnic group. We’re just Americans just like you. We may have some unique circumstances because of centuries of racist policies and attitudes that cause us to have to climb and jump to achieve the success that most white folks just walk up to, but we love this country too and our sons and daughters have died to protect the very right that allows you bigots to voice your venomous hatred.

It seems like every cop has it in the back of their minds. If I shot a African American they we suffer little to no punishment. I have as yet to see a cop convicted of killing a black person… Did The Cop really have to Shoot the victim in the Head?

seschris Said on

IAmKing,

I agree why is it that they always shoot to kill…even when they know it’s a possibility of mistaken identity and/or a minor infraction with no weapons on the suspect. It’s absolutely insane and unjustifiable. But the US justice system is designed to protect the enforcers and prosecute (fairly or unfairly) the suspect. The system is flawed and needs to be revamped by a multicultural administration to assure fairness and true equality!

All over the U.S. Police are and been getting away with cold blooded murder.
Not all Cops are bad but there are so many no good ones out there doing more crime than what our cities report.
Protect and serve i dont think so. I rather take my chances and run instead of waiting for their backups which is nothing but a setup.
Did yall see the video CBS news of the black man who was already handcuffed on the ground at the train station was shot in the back by police
and died.
wittnesses on the train recorded and tape this open act of murder CBS
reported it . Barack Obama might reconsider the gun ban because my people still have to walk the hood or travel somewhere to shop
and i be damn if i lay my life down to Marked Azz Cops

F The Police just like NWA stated

THIS POST MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE: I am an African-American female, whose Uncle (now deceased) was a Cop and a Detective, for over 20 years. I currently have a cousin, who has been a Cop and a SWAT Team officer for well over 20 years. I also have a childhood friend, whom I grew up with, who has been a Cop for over 18 years. Thankfully, they have never been involved in scandals, nor have they killed anyone, to my knowledge. Although I am very respectful of Law Enforcement Officers, I still fear for my husband’s personal safety. He is originally from Africa, therefore, he may not be aware of the proper Protocol of handling himself, if confronted by a Police Officer, here in America. Therefore, I often remind him that if he is EVER approached by a Police Officer, that he should NOT argue with the Officer, and that he should NOT make any sudden or quick moves, which could trigger an Officer to pull out his weapon. Also, if stopped for a traffic violation, I tell my husband to pull over, put his car in park, and place his hands on his steering wheel, in clear sight of the Officer. Also, be very submissive, and say ‘Yes Sir, Officer’, or ‘No Sir, Officer’, and ALWAYS tell the Officer what actions you are about to do, before you do it, so that everyone will be clear. For example, if you are going to get your wallet from your pants pocket, be sure to convey this information to the Officer, before you remove your hands from the Steering wheel. I know that this may sound contrite, however, this important information may save another African-American’s life, or an African’s life. Please be very careful out there, my people…. also, be eternally Blessed.
