I hope this issue gets resolved a.s.a.p. They are the children of a legend and hero. They should be carrying the legacy and not having family feuds. If Dexter Scott King did do anything inappropiate, he should confess and clean up the mess and his siblings should forgive him because that’s exactly what their parents would desire and expect.

I am deeply sadden to hear this negative news about the kids . There has never been any negative publicity associated with them and to come during an election time. I,m so sad they couldn,t resolve this out of the public eyes. This may set us back as a people another 100 years because it puts we as a black people on trial also. I don’t think people are really understanding this, they aren’t fighting over money trying to get money for themselves, they just want some accounting of where and how the money at the King Center is being spent. Bernice and Martin are both board members of the King Center, but to go the records they are seeking, they have to go through Dexter, who runs it. As board members, Dexter HAS to be accountable to them as to how money the money is being appropriated, etc., but apparently he hasn’t been as clear as maybe he should have with his siblings as well as other board members.

IN THESE TYPE OF SITUATIONS IT SEEM AS THOUGH MONEY IS ALWAYS THICKER THAN BLOOD

First, “the PURSUIT of money is the root of all evil”…there is nothing evil about money…personally, I’m rather fond of money.

Second, Dexter needs to provide a full accounting of all financial transactions concerning the management of the King center and their parent’s estates and legacies. No one person should control ALL of the money anyway. There needs to be a financial audit and proper internal controls implemen ted.

Final ly, Dr. and Mrs. King would NOT approve of their offspring’s behavior. Simply shameful. America is watching.
