Bernie Mac’s Condition Said To Be ‘Very, Very Critical’
August 5th, 2008Popular comedian reportedly is still seriously ill, amid false death rumors.
Though fans are breathing a sigh of relief after learning that recent rumors of a comedian’s death were false, the star is still badly suffering from pneumonia, reports one publication. Chicago’s Sun-Times attributes information to sources close to Mac’s family, calling the comedian’s condition “very, very critical.” As BET.com reported on Monday, rumors started over the weekend that Bernie Mac had passed. Publicist Danica Smith refuted widespread rumors that Mac had died this past weekend, saying, “Bernie Mac is still alive and being treated in a Chicago hospital for pneumonia, and is expected to make a full recovery.”
