Black Anchor Reportedly Axed After Saying The N-word

Veteran anchor Michael Scott got the boot from WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Ala. Scott reportedly got into an argument with one of his co-workers and called him a n**ger. Details of the exchange can be found on NewsBlues.com, a Web site for TV news professionals. Tipsters at Calkins-owned Huntsville station say primary news anchor Michael Scott was suspended after openly berating news producer Jabaree Pruitt. According to those who witnessed the incident, Scott, during a commercial break in the 10 p.m. newscast, referred to Pruitt as a Negro. When Pruitt ask him not to use that word, Scott called him a ‘nigger.’ Both men are Black. While a station official confirmed to The Huntsville Times that Scott was no longer with the station, he did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding his departure. Instead, he would only say that a nationwide search would be conducted to find his replacement.
WOW!!! Black on Black name calling..What a surprise. I would like to know what they were into it about before the commercial break…Just WOW!!!
I wish authories was as quick as this TV station in the cases against blacks when were violated by other races.
Wow! Sad, now even though the N word can be referred to any ethnic group that is, if we know what the definition of N word mean. We need to stop using that word with each other so other groups of people want use it toward us either.
Good because it this is a place of business and the producer probably worked hard to get to where he is and it could be looked at in a few different ways. It could be simple as not respecting his superiors, you can’t talk to your boss anyway you want espercially after he corrected you, even he had just called him a non-racial word he should still be disciplined for the fact that you cannot be insubordinate to your boss and the other way to look at it is that it is a racial slur. When I white man calls a black man that word, the reason it hurts so much is because the word has history that runs deep with pain so if a black man truely is offended by it they will be hurt BY THE WORD and it doesn’t matter who says it
