I live here in Huntsville. Michael Scott was in a position of authority – he was the programming director – and he should have known better than to act like that. Black, white or beige … my opinion is that he should have been fired. The question regarding would a white person have received the same action? We would like to think so, but history and recent situations don’t bear that out. I hate to see anyone out of work in this economy, but actions have consequences and if the table were turned, I suspect Mr. Scott would insist that Mr. Pruitt be fired.

But we all need to learn to get alone and separated color from facts. I work in the school system and the kids are always calling each other the “N” word. I do not like to hear it and they think nothing of it, they just want to be like the rappers. But professionals should not even go that low. They are educated and professional people and should hold themselves up as such. Low character people use that type of language. And Daniel, another thing I hate to hear them say is “I swear to God”
