Conyers did have reason for his concern… afterall if Gupta is actually going to pose a threat to passing reformed healthcare in our country, noone needs that. However, I believe that our Pres-E. Obama has taken the time to choose appointees with intellect and serous consideration of their positions. He has said that he welcomes challenge from various points of view on issues. I haven’t noticed if Conyers offered any better alternatives. Simply, blocking the nomination is just like being a roadblock in progress without offering better solutions.
