It is not a fact that blacks commit most of the crime in America. It may be a fact that blacks get arrested for most of the crimes but none of your boring, ignorant, racist repetitious African American bashing will EVER convince any intelligent person that blacks commit most of the crime in America. This is the second time I have heard of something happening like this in a high school yearbook . . . and at the other school, a black girl was labeled “Black Girl” in her yearbook on multiple pages, and all they did was give out stickers.
It doesn’t make any sense.
There aren’t any editors who would see that? Or did everyone think it was funny?
Honestly, it’s just about respect. This is a very sad stereotype that someone thought they should make public, and the only thing that they SHOULD do is reprint the yearbook.

A year book is a life-time keepsake and should reflect the individual favorably. No one should be allowed to disrespect the individual for all eternity. Where are the adult’s during final editing before printing? The adults have obviously dropped the ball on this one.

Who are the insensitive individuals who thought stickers would be enough?
Prank or not the school administration should have an adult in place to keep this from being an issue.
The faculty member negligent should be held accountable and the clubs that put the yearbook together should hold fund raisers to recoup the cost of reprint.

Not all black people that are arrested are guilty just as not all whites that commit crimes are arrested. We will never know the true numnbers because of racism. How does the idea that a FEW Black arrests are based solely on racism MEAN that Blacks do no commit the most crimes in the US? That just doesn’t add up at all. The numbers of Black men getting arrested for violent crimes is so staggering that your theory doesn’t hold a light up…not even to mention that it’s NOT fact.

What lack of maturity are you speaking of? Arguing concrete facts and discussing their logistics? We are speaking of violent crimes (at least i am). They are mostly committed by Black men in their mid 20’s…FACT.

Your statistics are just numbers. The real deal is this more black men are arrested for crimes because NOT all white men are arrested for their crimes. The numbers only record the actual arrests. Have you personally calculated all the crimes committed by whites that went unreported???Of course not because nobody really knows. FACT!!! The reason that you meet such hostility these BET boards (from various sources I notice) is because this is a forum where black people can vent our personal (sometimes daily) struggles with racism and prejudice. We don’t need to be critiqued on blackness by outsiders. Hearing you constantly belittle and berate us for doing that is very annoying because you don’t know what we go thru. You have no clue! This is OUR forum to express the hurt, pride, frustration, joy and anger while discussing news stories. Some of us commit terrible crimes and deserve to be locked up…some of us are the best and smartest people you will ever meet. But we look the same. Stop judging all of us as the same.
