Black Workers Sue the U.S. Marshals Service
October 16th, 2008Black workers sue the U.S. Marshals Service. Black employees of the U.S. Marshals Service filed a racial discrimination lawsuit Wednesday, saying they have been denied promotions by managers who belittled them as lazy, reports The Associated Press. The lawsuit in U.S. District Court accuses the federal law enforcement agency of a “good old boys network” that allegedly groomed Whites for leadership positions while passing up and reprimanding Blacks for “trivial mistakes.” “This is the way the agency treats African-American deputies all over the country,” said David Grogan, a deputy U.S. marshal who is filing the lawsuit. “If you’re an African American doing a good job, they’re going to find some loophole or exception to keep you from getting ahead.” In one incident, Grogan said he was taunted and insulted by a manager for using the gym. U.S. Marshals policy allows deputies up to three hours a week of gym time, but the manager said he “set a bad example” because he spent too much time exercising and did not take his job seriously. “In this way, Chief M.G. and several of his White friends attempted to use Mr. Grogan’s physical fitness to reinforce their racial stereotypes of Mr. Grogan as lazy,” the 42-page complaint states. The Marshals Service, a division of the Justice Department, has 4,700 employees and is responsible for apprehending fugitives and protecting federal judges. Jeff Carter, a spokesman for the Marshals Service, said the agency could not comment on specific allegations while the lawsuit is pending. “I can tell you that U.S. Marshals is aware of the allegations contained in the lawsuit, and these allegations do not reflect the culture of this agency or the high standards to which we hold our employees,” he said.

I love stories like these and I love racist folks on the job. I want to thank all of these racist folks for my millions of dollars that their racism on the job has blessed me with in lawsuits. if it wasn’t for their dedication to ignorance and stupidity,I would still be working a regular 40hr work week and living paycheck to paycheck. now i’m sippin’ champagne on the beach and I don’t ever have to worry about nothing financially again. go dixie!
I am also seeking out other racist employers to work for to sue again and again and I am currently working on a guide book on how to to get paid from racism. go racism!
David, you would be a “crybaby” too, if everyday someone you knew was shot, fired, harassed, picked on, racially-profiled, taunted, demeaned, all in the name of the law, or in going about their daily lives. If you, David, or your friends had to live with this day in and day out, and it happened to you or your loved ones, and you could not stop it or control it-wouldn’t you, too, be a “crybaby”? I say, without a doubt, you too and your loved ones would demand, cry, rant and rave about what is happening to them or to people they know and love. You would try to gather together; try to be heard; have laws passed; start lawsuits; all to try to be able to live a decent life. I, for one, will never stop trying to fight for my right to live freely and to be able to work and to raise my family. No, David, I will never stop being a “crybaby”. Let freedom ring.

David, if you are a caucasion, you have benefited from a 400 year head start at enjoying the fruits of Americanism. Especially considering that the majority of African Americans were enslaved and worked FOR FREE for the majority of those 400. “The Birth of a Nation” named America could not have happened without the deeply rooted and taught practices of white supremacy and racism. Racism is an institution, and it cannot exist without power and priveledge. You see my friend, there is a difference between being a racist and being prejudice. Racism is fueled by hatred; prejudices are fueled by ignorance(lack of knowledge). Whites have always enjoyed the ability to be in positions of authority, weather in the working world or the government. With that authority came their common practice of denying blacks and others many common rights, employment opportunities, fair trials, etc., etc., etc. It has often been said that the white man has no shame. Your inability to acknowledge that racism DOES exist and is not some myth or figment of dark-skinned peoples imagination only goes to show how uneducated and clueless most whites are about the RACIST-WHITE SUPREMIST heritage of this country. They definitely aren’t teaching you that in school. They should.
I am going to keep this short. Being a black LEO, I can tell you, there is possibly some merit to this story. What surprises me is there is a similar lawsuit filed this year by black Secret Service agents. Coincident? I think not!
