Yes she was a great singer. Other songs of her I like are ” I’m a woman”, “I cried like a baby” , “voodoo woman” and her Christmas Song “Merry Merry Christimas”
Another person is lost who was one of the foundations of our Black American culture and music. Blues music as a whole is the chief element of Black music and culture.

SHE WAS A LEGEND !!!! The younsters don’t know the innavators but We know them.. Talented singer with a beautiful voice…. thanks BET for allowing people to grieve her death…
is a distant and dying memory for young black americans! raised on a diet of the dross being churned out today, most of them can never know the power and beauty of music such as these.. what a pity.. may this lady’s soul rest in perfect peace .
I remember growing up in St.Louis listening when the predominately black music station was KATZ. They would play the blues late week nites. Thats how I came to hear Ms Koko Taylor.Being a mere child in the mid 60’s to early 70’s I didn’t really appreciate the blues. But certain blues singers did capture my imagination and she was one of them. Wang dang doodle all night long…all nite long…all nite long…
