However, the story went, it does not matter. Brandy settled to pay almost a million dollars. Therefore she must have some guilt, however there is no amount of money to replace the family’s loved ones. The some of the money can start a foundation for victims of car accidents. I think that compensation is needed to help the victims family and the final arrangements of the deceased. Some type of punishment should be made and in this casee it is money. No matter if it is about greed or justice the family deserves the some type of money. Brandy will not be able to deal with being in jail. She could not even cope with having a child and she act like she was going to die then, so it works out. For the non-believers, if Bill Gates killed your family members in a car crash you would want his money for compensation too. If a 9-5 working person kills your family you may not be able to get money but have the person in prison. That is just the way it is. This is a blessing in disguise you cannot question GOD.

Why should she give them millions when she was cleared that it was not her fault. It was an accident that unfortunately cost this woman her life. I think the kids are compensated well. If it was not Brandy, they would’ve only gotten what the insurance company paid and that would’ve been it.

I know that Brandy is happy that everything is over and she can try to put it behind her and move on. Living with the dealth of a person will follow you for life, but at least, she can now try to get some peace knowing that the family has come to some closure.

I will be praying for Brandy that the GOD will give her the strength to forgive herself for the dealth and live without the stress that all of this has caused her. My heart also goes out to the children, loosing a mother is the hardest emotion they will ever live with, because no one can ever replace the love that a mother can give.

With all due respect, Brandy made a mistake and is liable to those she effected. I’m not sure how many people WOULD NOT SUE if they lost their Mom in an accident caused by someone or something, regardless of who or what caused the accident. Those children lost their Mom and are entitled to relief under our laws, just like many of us want an apology, restitution, or revenge of some sorts when WE are wronged or damaged. This has little to do with the kind of person Brandy is. This is about responsibility under the law. The husband has suffered a loss as well and must raise those children without their Mom. I’m not sure if he deserve’s money, but those kids do! This family and Brandy are in my thoughts.

Brandy was hit first but because she was either driving to close to the other car or speeding, she didn’t have enough time to avoid hitting the other car. However, if Brandy wasn’t rich and famous the children would not be receiving as much as they are getting. Still no amount of money will replace their heartache.

If Brandy is partly responsible for the loss of a parent and a spouse then by all means she should be held liable. You’re talking about the loss of a parent and loss of potential income for a family. Someone said that the kids should not get anything but an offer to pay for college, which is bull. You take away someone’s parent and you take away something that surely money can’t replace but you can replace the loss of income that that person would have been able to provide over a lifetime to help sustain the children and to help maintain their current level of living.

I honestly feel that the husband is also entitled. If someone causes the loss of my wife due to negligence then I would be suing too, celebrity or not. It doesn’t begin to pay for the physical and emotional loss but it does help to maintain my life and some type of restitution for this major incident. Forget the fact that she is a celebrity really. Most of these comments are from fans who are blinded by extreme adoration of the celebrity and not taking into consideration the impact of this fatality. Think from a human point of view. I don’t claim to know the whole story at all but, again, if she is partly responsible then she is partly liable.

I like Brandy. But, I think she could have given a few million to these people. They lost their mother and the husband lost his wife. A few million should have been the settlement – a person can not be replaced. Well there is no price that a person can pay to returmn a lost love one, so the kids should be commensated for that, however, the uncles,aunts, cousins, parents, all seem like opportunist, they know the law as it is written if she was not married then the parents would have recourse but since she is married well the spouse has the right to sue, however the sad thing is mandy people have lost love ones to different accidents yet they were not paid as much it wasnt a “star” who hit them, as it is written people pay according to their net worth, for some that means you will get paid handsome it you hit the lottery in an auto accident of a wealthy person, others well no reward.
