Co-defendant: Vick Funded Dog Fighting

July 31st, 2007

Alleged details of Michael Vick’s alleged involvement with dog-fighting emerge
Michael VickA former partner in the dog-fighting ring that allegedly involved Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick says the NFL star bankrolled everything. After changing his not guilty plea last week to guilty in a Virginia court on Monday, Tony Taylor, 34, pledged cooperation in Vick’s prosecution. Taylor says Vick almost exclusively funded the “Bad Newz Kennels” dogfights, while Taylor and others split any winnings from their bets on the illegal contests, according to court documents. Vick faces multiple conspiracy charges. Meanwhile, Vick, is also talking for the first time about the allegations. Vick told Atlanta radio station WVEE-FM that he’ll “get through” the legal ordeal. “I know I’ve put the city through a lot,” he said. “My [team] owner, Arthur Blank, who I love sincerely, I’ve put him through a lot.” Vick told the station he’d like to return to the Falcons after his legal troubles end. The quarterback has lost endorsement deals, and several products carrying his name were pulled from sporting goods store shelves since his court appearance last week. Vick has pleaded not guilty.

This guy Taylor could just be saying this stuff about Micheal Vick because he’s trying to save his own a**.Why wouldn’t he say those thing’’s about Micheal for all everybody know’s Micheal let him stay at his house FREE OF CHARGE and he took Micheal’s kindness to another level or he was jealous of Micheal, nobody thought of that everybody just assume he all about what was going on.People do some nasty thing’s when their jealous they can mess your life up really bad.Micheal has to be careful about who he let’s in his life and GROW-UP!

Here is another classic case of the system and the media convicting someone before he is found guilty. Michael has not been found guilty yet the “system” is allowed to suspend him from playing, pull endorsements and remove his products from shelves. If he is found innocent, his reputation and career are already ruined and there will still be people who believe that he was guilty. Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty?”

I think Vick is a very nice young man. My son played high school football with him and every time I see him he is so respectful and mannerly. I think that we all have made mistakes and whatever his involvement in the whole ordeal I believe is a mistake, an eye opener and a learning experience. I don’t believe Vick is the ring leader. I believe that he may have gave them money for the upkeep of the property. Someone had to take care of things and keep it maintanced while he was gone and they could have used it for the dogfighting. He may have known some things but not everything. He never executed any animals the co-defendant said and he wasn’t always at the fights or around the property. He couldn’t have been, look at his schedule….. He should have known more of what was going on at the property but just like the parents with the children making bombs in their house or garage that killed children and teachers at a high school claim they didn’t know any of that was happening and they lived there. Vick was out of town most of the time so he could have been in the blind about alot of things. With the winnings they could have begin to establish and finance their own fightings. Especially since Vick never gained from the winnings. If it started when Vick was at Va. Tech how much could he finance? How could he do it alone? I don’t think he funded the whole outfit. I think that taking his career and endorsements is a shame. He is a great athlete and a great individual and I can’t wait to see him back on the field doing what he does best.
You can show this is does not matter..

I am a dog lover and I have own servel dogs and I would never in my life think to fight my dog, to me they are part of my family…. I am sorry to see another black pro bite the dust and go to jail but I also think like this ” you knew better then to do this, so whatever is whatever”. they are not above the law, so why should the average joe get punshied and they don’t…. if it was just a normal person with no fame and money they would have been in jail doing their time by now…

WE AS BLACK PEOPLE GO THRU SO MUCH TO MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR OURSELVES. BUT FOR SOME REASON WHATEVER WE DO IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND WE CONTINUE TO TRY AND PROVE OURSELVES TO THE WORLD AND TO EVERYONE. LATELY OUR BLACK ATHLETES HAVE REALLY BEEN TRYING TO PROVE THEMSELVES AND STILL IS NEVER GOOD ENOUGH. WE NEVER HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT THE WHITE ATHLETES AND WHAT THEY HAVE GOING ON. I WILL STICK BY VICK AND WILL KEEP HIM AND HIS FAMILY IN MY PRAYERS. I REALLY HOPE HE GETS OUT THIS SITUATION AND LEARN FROM THIS.

WE ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT THESE DAMN DOGS THAT NO ONE EVEN PAID ATTENTION TO NICOLE RICHIE ONLY HAVING TO SERVE 4 DAYS IN JAIL. SHE ALSO GETS TO PICK WHICH JAIL SHE WANTS TO GO. SOME DRIVING INFLUENCE, WHICH CAN LEAD TO THE DEATH OF HUMAN BEINGS IS SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN A DOG. wE ALWAYS ALLOW THE MEDIA TO TAKE US AWAY FROMT HE IMPORTANT ISSUES

I think that this is just another incident where white people build are black celebrities up and soon as they get the chance to slander their names and reputation they are ready with their cameras and false report to bring us down.

thats stupid to charge him with multiple charges like that just cause he’ll an NFL player. Everyone nowadays are doing the same thing betting on dog fights and everything elsse so you just can’t pin point one person just because of who they are and what they do for a living is just not right.
