I would like to know where all the public outrage is with all the BLACK ON BLACK CRIME. Why are we not outraged that the top twenty most violent cities in America are BLACK. This cop should be punished to the fullest,no doubt about it. Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson are falling over each other to get to Oakland,but they don’t fall over one another when there are over 500 murders in Chicago in 2008. Where’s the outrage in Compton,CA. Washington,D.C.,Detriot,Baltimore.Oaklank,CA., ETC,ETC.ETC. Black High Schools are graduating less than 25% of our black children,where’s the outrage. I wish I could see the same outrage when an innocent black kid is killed when the murderer is some other than a WHITE COP. 96% of crimes committed against blacks are committed by other blacks,where is AL AND JESSE. Oh that’s right ,no cameras around.

UMLAW is stupid it is a known fact that people and espicially black men are victims of racial profilling on a daily bases and dont have to have commited a crime to be victims. When crimes are commited blacks are the easy target and they need some one to blame so that is how it works.

Violent cops like this have no right to have a badge, to serve & protect us.. is out of the question.. period! They must never be allowed to hold any position of authority again in the united states of America. This one who has killed unprovoked needs to be jailed for life. This needs federal attention because so many are fired then hired back a couple of years later.

The laws need to be tougher to deal with these rogue cops and they should be getting psychological evaluations regularly to ensure that they aren’t a threat to society.

I hope this goes to court and the judge throws the book at the murdering officer which is how it should be. And I hope this young man’s attorney wins the lawsuit because it often seems that money puts more pressure on agencies than the law does.

Now, since they have video proof of this “officer” shooting this young man while handcuffed, how are they planning on justifying this shooting. There is always an excuse. What could this “cop” possibly say that will justify him killing this young man.

Let’s keep this in perspective – this appears to be a terrible case and it looks like the BART cop should be indicted. However, at the end of the day, the only way change will come to the ghetto will be when people (not just white cops) are held accountable for their actions and it is accepted that the thug lifestyle is the cancer of the ghetto.

Pull your pants up. Apply yourself in school. Hold off on having children until you are finished school, have some means of support, and are in a sustainable monogamist relationship.

I live in Oakland, I take BART and BUS. The fruitvale bart station ALWAYS has cops around. I see them interviewing (harassing) people all the time. Especially the black young men. Now I don’t know weather or not the men are waiting for a bus. i just know what I see. There has been several incidents at this station. The Coliseum bart station and parking lot is closer to the hood.I rarely see bart police at the coliseum. I do see the Alameda county sheriff rolling up on anyone that stops at the bus stop to ticket them when they drop someone off . As of this day 01/06/09 no one has interviewed or talked to the cop that killed Oscar Grant. For all we know they are letting him get out of the country.
