I agree with Herman, and DaeDae, I work at a jail also, and if an inmate says they are in distress, it should not be ignored. If they have medication that they need to take this should not be ignored, by the nursing staff (their is usually only 1 dr.) at the same time I agree with daedae take care of your responsibilities, and don’t end up in a situation where your life is endangered because of a simple warrant that could have been taken care of in court. My heart goes out to the Levert family.

Yes, there was wrong doing — I know what goes on in Jail facilities. He should have be transported upon onset. It is a case of protecting the “circle” and not making law enforcement responsible for their actions. Do any one know if the Dentention officer was sleep at any point and neglecting their duties?

first thing i offer my condolence to the levert family. he may have been in the wrong about paying his child support but thats a matter for the family courts to deal with thoses matters. after what has happened to sean levert maybe its time to require some basic medical trainning for all staff and thoses apply for theses jobs. i do agree the county must take some blame for what happen when they notice mr.sean levert was in medical distress they should of dial 911 right away and not waste precisiou time that could of saved his life regardless of there not being a cure.this man was in your county’s care and you failed him and his family doesnt say much about your protocal and policies maybe the government needs to review or implement new guide lines to avoid this tragedy again to another family.

Personally I think it’s possible that the police were involved. I live in Cuyahoga County. In the area I live in there is next to no crime besides the occasional jay walking or speeding ticket. The cops over here are crooked. In fact I was arrested once on petti-crime and the police in Cuyahoga County wouldn’t let me change my soiled cloths or use the rest room. The treat people like crap. So, anything is possible.

We all hurt because of the situation at hand with Mr. Levert and the empathy for his family left behind, but what bothers me most as I read is how we are dogging one another out. Do I agree with those that have something to say in disrespect to Mr. Levert…..because you do know that is disrespect to the deceased (for those of you I have to dummy down to)? No, I don’t. That man and his family put their pants on everyday just like we do……one leg at a time and because he is an artist does not exempt him from the trials and situations of this world; he has issues like we do, but that doesnt give anyone a right to say if he didnt have his child support situation he wouldnt of been there to get treated like that; no one deserves that treatment…..NO ONE even regardless of their crime. His situation may have been child support but what about those of you that have your own issues but just havent been brought to light? Had he not been in prison and none of us knew the reason he was in trouble and he died, what would you say then….RIP Sean, right? I know for a fact that they could of done something about it and yes I do feel his family should continue to do what they can in this matter. I just hope that the family find peace in his death and to go on and pursue what is in their hearts to do as far as justice!!

My heart goes out to the family…. We are living in a very sad world,all praise to my father Jesus Christ,for he knows the heart to all men and women!!!
I know just how visiting some one in jail,we are treated with no respect.So I’m really sure how those locked up are treated. He was a sick man and should haved been treated for his illness from the door. I believe the fact that his father is Eddie Levert he was not treated with the respected he should have had!!!! Rest in peace Sean Levert…..The truth will come out!!!!

Ive read that men mostly die suddenly when arrested. That could’ve happened to him.
