The facts of the story is he had 3 police officers on him. 1 on his neck, 1 on his back, and 1 at his feet. This is what shocks up it takes three cops to take down a unarmed man, then you wanna shoot him. We as a community are past mad and pissed off. We are and will burn OAKLAND down. If no action is taken. In my 28 years of living in Oakland has seen so much violence from cops towards young black men, this has to stop NOW!!!! Oscar grant is the finally straw. Rip cousin we.love you gone but never forgotten.

No the crazy part is this man is a fugitive. They stated that they have been trying to contact him. Everybody else has been interviewed. Where the hell is the man hunt, where’s the wanted posters, where’s the warrant’s for his arrest had this been a black man ( regardless of what these white people on here are commenting) he would be in a holding cell without a bond awaiting a trial before his peers, or so they say……

There is nothing to ponder a life was taken due to the excessive use of force. If there is any pondering, it must be regarding what specific charge or degree of murder to charge with…to UMlaw what statistics rather where are you getting your statistics from…please cite your sources and make sure the journals you are referring to have included a significant concentration of inclusion as it relates to demographics and maybe a cross sectional methodology varying maybe upon state. Be careful when you spout such attempts at concrete information and relying on stats as I have been told if you torture the numbers enough they will confess.

I do find interesting that there was no delay in charging the protest participants thus the same level of proactiveness should be used with this officer. Not clear either on how he can have a choice to come in and be questioned. Anywho there is much more to take place regarding this outcome.

Someone on here says that this is not about race, but I beg to differ. Not only is this about race its about equal rights. I do not know where it is said in the bible that if you wear blue and call yourself a cop you are above the law. This “human” killed another human and he should be punish like any other human would be. If this handcuffed man would have killed an officer he would either be giving life or they would kill him on the way to the jailhouse. This man was killed for no reason at all, because there is no reason to take a person’s life. I just do not understand how is it that mothers have to go through the hard labor of birthing and life to raise a child but in a instance that child can be gunned down and taking away. I am praying for this family for this is something they will never forget, but with the help of God they can continue to live life.

The article stated, a 27-year-old White transit cop who shot to death a handcuffed young Black man on New Year’s Day; as a FACT. If this is a result of RESPONSIBLE reporting (an actual fact of the matter @ hand) there is ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to Ponder. As a matter of fact, it is an INSULT to even suggest PONDERING as an Plan of Action.

Something is wrong with this article. We don’t need News providers saying things irresponsibly. Crying wolf may later destroy the information provider’s credibility. If the video footage or eyewitness accounts of the officer have been turned over to the proper authorities, reviewed, and authenticated, a warrent for his arrest is to be issued immedietly.

Judging from the “pondering” statement issued by the prosecuter and the fact that we are all innocent until PROVEN guilty, this is a case of the legal system proceeding slower than those who prefer Vigilanty justice.

After the prosecuter has OFFICIAL EVIDENCE, then he can proceed with prosecution. If he/she moves to fast, the perpetrater will have the opportunity of beating the charges on a TECHNICALITY. …something NONE of us want. If he did what he was accused of, the book is the smallest thing that should be thrown at him. He should be made to build a jail specifically for crooked police officers and placed in the darkest, dampest, dingiest portion of the entire facility.

I am quite distrubed by this. First of all, if it were a black cop that shot a white man to death while he was in handcuffs, he would have been arrested on the spot, no questions asked. Ponder, what in the heck is going on in this world today? It should not matter if the victim was a black man or not, but in this racist society it does. My heart goes out to the family of the victim and I pray that justice is served the right way. God bless the family and I pray that they give that cop the death penalty.
