Death Row Inmate Blinds Himself

A death row inmate convicted of killing and pulling out the hearts of his ex-wife and small children in 2004 has pulled out and eaten his own eye. Authorities, who say Andre Thomas had already gouged out his other eye before his 2004 trial, was treated after the recent incident at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. The 25-year-old has been moved to a psych unit. “He will finally be able to receive the mental health care that we had wanted and begged for from day one,” his trial lawyer Bobbie Peterson-Cate tells the Sherman Herald Democrat. “He is insane and mentally ill. It is exactly the same reason he pulled out the last one.” Thomas had been convicted of stabbing his 13-month-old daughter to death in a triple murder that also left his wife and 4-year-old son slain. He later turned himself in, telling authorities he had stabbed himself, too, put the victims’ hearts in his pocket and later thrown them into the trash. Thomas was found bleeding from the face in his cell last month when prison staff discovered his second eye missing.
i think dat was so disgusted…i mean why would u even do something so stupid…i can understand dat he is PSYHCO but dang!!! but…u have to look past people like him even though i don’t know him…

I agree with the person on here talking about demons. Demons are real. I believe that there is no such thing as “crazy” or “insane”. It’s a matter of being possessed or not. The bible speaks of the man who lived near the grave yards. It says he was possessed, not crazy or insane. “Crazy” and “insane” are just another attempt by Western man to explain everything scientificically. I thank God for the HOPE he has sent to me/us, lest we would all be like this guy; possessed by the ONE GOING BACK AND FORTH THROUGHOUT THE EARTH SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR; ( DESTROY). AMEN.

There is no help for this Guy why is this guy still living? We are wasting money on keeping him breathing our air. Since he still has 1 eye left hold that M F open pour some salt in that B*tch and call it a day.
I admit, I read the headline and was intrigued. After pulling up this article, reading it, reading the blog comments, I felt just as sick. There are no words to cover this. But I tell you bloggers, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and above all that we and our finite minds can think of or ask. Even in this state, God is able to save this young man and change his life. I believe God and ask for mercy on his soul. He will pay for his crimes, crazy or not, but there is mercy available…to him…to us! For any all that we do or have done …from exceeding the speed limit to taking a life and beyond.
instead hrowing stones at him… think about the people who he told he needed help and they didnt do antthing until this happened it is so sad but we need topray for him and hope he gets the help he needs for his sake and may god have mercy on his soul…..for he did not know of his doings

This sad excuse for a man is not insane, he’s just evil and should be accorded the same fate as his victims, a horrible and brutal death.
No matter what he does to himself it will never be enough punishment for him taking the lives of his babies I say let the SOB suffer with living let him awake to the sounds of his children screaming every night at the feeing of having their lives stolen by their own father!!!
