Death Row Inmate Blinds Himself

A death row inmate convicted of killing and pulling out the hearts of his ex-wife and small children in 2004 has pulled out and eaten his own eye. Authorities, who say Andre Thomas had already gouged out his other eye before his 2004 trial, was treated after the recent incident at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. The 25-year-old has been moved to a psych unit. “He will finally be able to receive the mental health care that we had wanted and begged for from day one,” his trial lawyer Bobbie Peterson-Cate tells the Sherman Herald Democrat. “He is insane and mentally ill. It is exactly the same reason he pulled out the last one.” Thomas had been convicted of stabbing his 13-month-old daughter to death in a triple murder that also left his wife and 4-year-old son slain. He later turned himself in, telling authorities he had stabbed himself, too, put the victims’ hearts in his pocket and later thrown them into the trash. Thomas was found bleeding from the face in his cell last month when prison staff discovered his second eye missing.
Just take him out of his misery already and give him the electric chair! No need to keep wasting tax dollars on this maniac

This had nothing to do with being a negro or a male, this had to do with an extremely sick individual who obviously had mental problems. People in this country period need to learn to recognize some of the signs of mental ilness, then we might be able to prevent things like this from happening.

i just think its sad for what he did to his wife and kids the pain his kids were going threw at the time what was his wife doing while he was killing the the baby there should havebeen some kind of warnig while she was dating him i dont care about him pulling out his eye he can die for all i care about the wife and kids and what her family has to go threw

They need to go ahead and put this guy out of his misery. He is on death row for a reason. Trying to prove whether he is crazy or not is just a waste to tax-payer’s money. He murdered his family, and he has even caused harm to himself, so go ahead and give him that lethal injection and be done with it.
