Jill Scott is Pregnant
R&B singer/actress Jill Scott is pregnant with her first child. She revealed the news to reporters at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles on Friday, People magazine reports. “The first trimester I spent in Botswana,” said Scott, who is due April 25. “That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days.” Scott said she discovered that she was pregnant just before leaving for Botswana where she filmed the show. The three-time Grammy Award winner, who is engaged to drummer Lil’ John Roberts, says she’s glad she went through with the plans to film. “My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it,” said Scott, 36.
Fantasia’s N.C. Home is Saved
American Idol winner and Broadway star Fantasia Barrino was able to hang onto one of her North Carolina homes, after a last-minute agreement was reached between the mortgage company and the singer’s representatives, People magazine reports. The details of the arrangement were not disclosed. The million-dollar, Charlotte-area home would have hit the auction block Monday, to be sold by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The money would have been used to compensate Broward Energy Partners for the $68,000 loan it advanced Barrino to pay taxes, the magazine reports.

P.J. this is for you! some single woman that get pregnant have it going on. They are strong and self sufficient. I know, I am one, Thank you! Being a single parent is one of the most common things on the planet for generations of all colors, the key is to educate. As for the Obama comment he is not a uncle Tom by NO means so get clear on that one

I hope she marries the daddy and they live happily ever after. If the daddy doesn’t marrry her, I hope she doesn’t use her child as a “pawn” against him, invade his life, and try to control him with the child out of bitterness. God help him.
And BTW, Two people who have a child are NOT a family until they get married. This holds true both legally, morally and biblically. Baby Mamas have no rights.
Get married Jill and don’t become another statistic. Marriage should proceed child birth…otherwise don’t complain when you are abandoned.

THE TRUTH IS, Fantasia’s house was NOT in foreclosure, she is NOT broke, and Simon did NOT give her any money. It was a simple dispute over an OLD loan payment. You people have been duped by the National Inquirer and Media Take-Out, both well-known for lying about celebrities. You are ‘commenting’ about something THAT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. FOOLS.

Hi, i’m Kelsi I though that Jill Scott would in up with that dude she had got married to at the end of the movie. I hope she have a great pregnacy.
BAD EXAMPLE. Jill Scott should know better than to irresponsibly get pregnant prior to marriage. Was she desperately trying to trap the father like so many of our sisters do these days, and then lie and claim it “was an accident”? Marriage before birth should be a campaign taken up by our community. If a man doesn’t wnat to marry you, he certainly doesn’t want a baby by you. “Baby Mama’s” are the down fall of the African-American community. Often they want to “control” men who don’t want them – by using the children of these men as PAWNS. When the men don’t jump through their hoops after they tried to trap them, they use the children against them. The children are innocent victims of these bitter and desperate women !!! 85% of children in the African-American community are without fathers. I don’t believe all black men are cruel enough to not want to be apart of their children’s life. Often it is the unreasonalbe and relentless DEMANDS of these Baby Mamas that are standing in the way of these children having normal relationships with their fathers. If Jill Scott’s man decides not to marry her – hopefully she will support his right as a father to have normal relations with his child without her and her agenda being in the way !!!! MARRIAGE BEFORE BIRTH – USE A CONDOM.

Congratulations to both Fantasia and Jill! P.J., your comments were unnecessary. No child is “illegitimate.” Glad that Jill will be blssed with a child, and that she found a man that she loves, and will take the leap of faith to wed again. I also think some of you need to stop judging Fantasia. Times are hard for EVERYONE these days. I am happy she’s able to hold on to her home. She will make the decision whether she needs those homes, we can’t do that for her.
