Lyfe Jennings allegedly threatened woman. Star performer Chester “Lyfe” Jennings is free on $50,000 bond after an incident allegedly involving a gun, chase and car wreck. Jennings, who served 10 years in prison for arson before launching his music career, is accused of kicking in a door in Georgia, firing a pistol in the street and fleeing Smyrna, Ga. cops before he crashed his vehicle. Jennings was on a rampage in search of his children’s mother, police say. He faces trespass and weapons charges, a count of eluding police and a driving under the influence. Jennings’ mentor Yolanda “LaLa” Brown was murdered a year ago this week in a case that’s still unsolved.
Actress longs for role as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
A star of the – for some reason – popular “High School Musical” franchise has dreams of portraying an actual musical performer on screen. Monique Coleman says she’d love to take on the role of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in a film about Lopes’ old group TLC. Lopes died at age 30 after a 2002 car crash in Honduras. As part of the R&B trio for which she rapped and co-wrote, the entertainer helped sell 22 million records. Lopes also made news for her devastating arson to the mansion of one-time boyfriend and NFL star Andre Rison.
Will.i.am writes Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa tracks. Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am is the voice of Moto Moto as well as the writer of four original tracks in the forthcoming Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. The animated film opens nationwide Nov. 7. The soundtrack, will.i.am’s first musical movie contribution, is set for release three days before the movie. The performer is best known for his Grammy-winning work with one of the world’s biggest pop groups.
Moniqie Coleman just isnt a strong enough actress to me to play such a big role! i would love to see a movie about left eye…but i probably wouldnt go see it if she was playing her.
I agree with you on this one, I think that “o” so krispy can play her or the girl from the group that left eye managed.

I wuold love to see “O” SO KRISPY play here because she looks,
sounds and has Lisa’s swagger. Miss you Left Eye!
I also agree with the previous comments. Monique should stick to the nice girl roles. Left Eye life was very complicated. If she does get the role & pull it off then i would be very impressed.
Well this is very interesting…sort of like the Doctor Phil incident with his wife. Lyfe Jennings, Mr. Treat Cha Lady Right himself, getting way beside himself and playing kick in the door. Not saying that what he did was not justifiable based on we the people not having the entire story but, I’m quite positive that he could have handled this situation a little bit better than the way he did. He look like hell on two feet. As a man I can empathize with the anger he was feeling towards his one time lover because alot of men get frustrated with women and the games they tend to play (especially with the kids) but it’s almost always an alternate and better way to handle the situation. Don’t loose you cool suckah…
Sean P. I agree with most of what you had to say, but I don’t think he’s a suckah (as you said). There are definitely some women out there that play them trife games and put the children in the middle. As for this situation we don’t know what really happened but I wouldn’t be surprised if that is what she did. Lyfe loves his children and once a woman (one’s that haven’t grown up yet) knows this, she uses it to her advantage. Just keeping it real……..-NL

In order for the film to be musically accurate, Monique Coleman needs to be able to sing/rap/sound like Left Eye. Jamie Foxx was very convincing as Ray Charles, and if she can’t give a good enough performance as a female rapper, and not a pop singer, then I don’t think she should get this role. 0 So Krispie, agreed.
A new CD is actually coming out Jan 27th featuring a number of Left Eye’s unreleased tracks, plus re-worked versions of songs off of Supernova, which was never released in the US. I see that alot of the comments here about Lyfe, is trying to make the baby momma the bad person in this whole ordeal, when no one really knows the real truth of the matter..We have to remember that we can not control what people say to us, we can not control what people think about us. what we can can control is how we react to what people say, do and think about us.
