Will Smith is about to get paid again. Will Smith, already the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, is in the midst of signing on for a couple sequels that are guaranteed to be blockbusters. The New York Post reports that Smith has nearly completed deals to return in starring roles for another installment of “Hancock” and “I Am Legend.” There is no official word from the Smith camp, but a rep for the actor claims “there have been talks about both of these projects.” This week, Smith’s new flick “Seven Pounds” hits theaters, in which Smith plays a depressed IRS agent who goes on a mission to help out seven strangers. It debuts on Friday.

Chamillionaire gets hometown honor. Houston rapper Chamillionaire, a Houston homeboy known for charity work in his community, was chosen as the co-Grand Marshal of the 15th Annual MLK Grande Parade on Martin Luther King Day. It’s the first time such an honor has been bestowed on a hip-hop artist. The celebration will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 in downtown Houston

Doug E. Fresh’s homes in foreclosure. Rapper Doug E. Fresh is losing his homes in Harlem, The New York Post reports. The 46-year-old rapper reportedly owes more than $3.5 million in unpaid mortgages on three different properties, all of which are going to foreclosure, the paper says. He is also  being hunted down by American Express for nearly $60,000 in credit-card debt, and the IRS has hit him with a $367,000 tax lien on top of more than $40,000 owed to the state tax collector, according to state records, the Post reports. In all, Fresh owes more than $1.73 million. All of these money woes is dampening the rapper’s other affairs. He’s planning on opening Doug E’s Chicken and Waffles in Harlem next month, the paper reports.
