Ignorance is dangerous!! First of all JaMarquion T. Obama was in NC early part of last week Dunn NC and Fayetteville, NC. We do not have many 5-star hotel where you can party!! Its mostly po’ folk just trying to pay their bills–I must say there are a few isolated ignorant mothers having babies and naming their “Bless their heart, back wood babies” JaMarquion T after 4 potential baby daddies– FYI: JaMarquion T is translated to mean Another limited Brotha stereotyped and destined to failure because of lack of knowledge..

BTW: I went to vote for Obama to improve EDUCATION so we educators can pronounce your name!!!

I admire you tot putting family first. My grandparents raised me also, so I know what’s it’s like to watch them slip away. I was at my grandfather’s bedside when he died and I got a chance to say goodbye, but my grandmother died suddenly of a massive stroke and to this day, I regret that I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her.

You and your family are in my prayers, and may God keep and bless during this trying period.

I think that Obama is right to go visit his Grandmother. He always says on the campaign trail that his mother and Grandmother are the reason why he achieved so much. Good for him.

I can totally undersand Senator Obama’s determination to see his grandmother. When my dad died I was not there until after the fact but when my mom died I was there before hand…it makes a difference….FAMILY FIRST.

I applaud Obama for prioritizing what is of paramount importance…his family. He is the epitome of a true leader. Please ignore JaMarquion T. This idiot is obviously a statistic. You know, I never cease to be amazed when Black folks such as JaMarquion write such comments. First of all, he has one of those “code” names that many poor mothers give their children which stigmatizes them for life. But that is another story. If he wishes I can refer him to books which have been written on the subject of made up names which impune children. More importantly here, is that JaM espouses ignorance and misspells the word for prostitution. The word is whores, not “hos”, which is pronounced, HOSS, obviously not what you intended to convey. Many comments here have aptly put that JaM is ignorant and that he is the one who doesn’t realize how sad he truly is. What a putrid imbecilic statement to make: “I am not going to vote for anyone”, as hard as Black folks struggled to have the right to vote in this country. How old is this ill-bred idiot named JaM? Many of our youths are truly lost and I only hope that those intelligent young people who need to be around to carry on the race, are in the majority. JaM, stop writing…you trump yourself.

I am sad to hear of the passing of President to-be(elect) Obama’s Grandmother’s passing. But that I hope he is aware that she is in a better place; that is, with the Lord in Heaven. To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord. I was an early voter and I ensured that all my immediate family in my home voted early. We all voted a straight Democratic ticket because it is certainly time for a change in especially the Republican state that I reside.

To the Obama family; my heart goes out to you in your time of grief. Just hope you remember that she shall no longer suffer the pains of this world and that’s a good thing.
